Pulled straight from the JBTV Archives, this show from Chicago’s historic Vic Theater by 90’s icons 4 Non Blondes instantly brings us back to our days of torn jeans and flannel. It’s not difficult to remember why the band saw such popularity when looking back on the jangling acoustic guitar and the bluesy croons of frontwoman Linda Perry, who would go on as a songwriter to co-author and produce songs and albums for artists ranging from Pink and Christina Aguilera to Courtney Love and Kelly Osbourne.

She's the writer of the song, and she sings it the best. Much better than the covers by Gaga and Pink, who just go way overboard. This great chord progression does not call for all of that emotion, maybe a drop more electric solo with distortion.

I seen a band a month ago called “coverlicious” and the singer sang both songs beautifully. Look them up, they play around Chicago.
0% oversexualized stage performance 0% pretentious props 0% X rated lyrics 0% half naked back up dancers 100% music 100% Talent I mis the days of good music.

Linda Perry is Music Personified
Anyone lucky enough to be born in the 80s and raised in the 90s didn’t know it at the time but they lived through a truly golden age in music full of songs that will outlive us all.
Such a beautifully written song! I remember hearing this when I was a teenager and thinking it was a cool song, and as I got older and times change and you really start seeing what’s really going on in the world THIS song has so much more significance
I can't get over how amazing this performance is. it's just wow.

Nailing that song live is astounding. No one else could do it. The song requires her voice, and timing, and spunk. It's just one of those perfect pairings, that will sound just as good 500 years from now.
Could listen forever to this song....Linda is a pearl!
Linda Perry is without doubt a class act. Anyone who has tried to sing this song will know just how difficult it is. Linda just nails it, and nails it to the max. What an underrated artist she really is, she deserves far more credit and should have gone so much further with her incredible talent. Respect. 👊😎🙏

I’ve been singing this week out of frustration. It works!!! Lol I love the song. It’s actually more emotional than folks realized. I don’t think this is the best time she’s sung this song but she’s good.
1:25 even that cracks sounds good
What an amazing pair of lungs Linda Perry has and she just smashes it every time and seems to love it.

+Gary Indiana you must have hearing problems lol she has one of the best female rock voices I've ever heard. I think you're being very super critical saying what you have and this is a vocally complicated song.

Mahesh Katwal that's the only song they have that sounds good the rest are no good I know the the bass player personally she's a good person but they did not make it that big
When she couldn’t help but laugh at something in the crowd a few times around 2:30 really says something about her character, charisma , love etc!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone perform a song (live) better than the studio version. She is something special. I turned my wife onto this song 17 years ago. It’s her favorite now.

Reminds me of this young lady that loved this song. We met in Mazatlan in the early nineties and we had many a romantic interlude for the week that she was there.
