It's heavily hinted at a potential pregnancy with her nosebleeds and vomiting.

Pretty sure that she is. There is a part where she tells him why did he finish inside if she told him not to. Also at some point she says that Gabi will/would do the same for her.

Also, the movie isn't about the perils of back alley abortion. It's deliberately neutral about the moral issue of abortion.

Exactly! People are still going to have abortions but they're gonna be illegal, unsafe and unsanitary. A woman being able to make a choice for her own body is a basic human right!
