    Really liked the ribbon mic on your voice. Once nice thing about that particular mic is it's not quite as prone to damage as other ribbon mics... I'd already have one if I could convince myself to spend the money :-D

    I love ribbon mics too. I'm a big fan of both the KSM313 and the KSM44. When micing guitar amps, try placing the label side of the KSM313 closer to the amp, and place the KSM44 further back. Position each mic to where it sounds "good" or "right." Switch the patterns on the KSM44 until you like how like the blend with the KSM313. It's probably good to use the high pass filter on the KSM44. I found this to give an electric guitar a huge, rich sound.

    Some of us perform live with DAW effects and hyperthyroid mics are critical to keep noise out of the vocal mics and effects processing. None of the mics you mentioned come close to doing that. Surprising that you did not mention Audix OM7.
