The lemongrass I planted grows very vigorously, I harvest it and prepare for a whole table of lemongrass feast!
Everything about lemongrass is a treasure! It can be made into dishes, can be soaked in water, can repel mosquitoes, can be used as medicine...
The food with lemongrass seems to be infused with a unique soul, sour, salty and spicy, so delicious!

As a Malaysian we always use the bottom part of lemongrass which is more fragrant and hv richer taste than the leaf or upperpart..we usually crust the bottom part and put on oil for frying before make dishes especially for sambal or rendang

Dont cut using knive from top of the ground, instead use your hand to pull and cut the whole stem from the root, basically you cut from the root. No need to cut the leaves to make it more robust (except you want it to be more tidy), instead take one whole stem, cut the leaves, and plant it on another pot so u have more clumps. If you dont want to slice it, you only need to smash the stem and use it as whole

Actually the best part of lemongrass that bring us the strongest aroma is the lower stem (near the root and having brighter green). You can select and pull the stem in the center of grass brushes. So it will grow continuously. Hope you try this way next time :)

In Indonesia we called lemongrass “sereh”. We used it very often in various dishes. You should smash its stem then the fragrant will come out so well. Hope it helps 😁

Is it possible to eat at your house (or even in your country) anything without so much hot chili? It seams the weather is hot were you live, so how do you eat so much chili without being even hotter? What about Chinese Medicine and the balance of flavors? Everything you eat is very beautiful but honestly it seems excessively spicy.

Some chilies will lose the hotness after being fried w oil for a long time. Or simply get rid of the seeds, theyre the source of hot taste

@@kopi_pandan I believe that chillies lose the hotness after being fried, but I'm sure the spiciness is not only in the seeds, even though the seeds make it worse. I lived in Mexico and met many people with stomach problems because of the big amount of chillies they eat. I see these Chinese videos and I wonder how they handle it.
