I just find your channel to be more and more helpful - I'm still on that fence deciding if I want to turn my hobby into a business, and all your tips and thoughts are really helping to put it all into perspective for me. Thank you again for a great video with even more viewpoints!

I'm going to do cookies when and where I have time but I will only claim gluten friendly. Gluten free is too risky a claim to make in a small home business. Thanks for your videos. Plenty of good information.

I too turn down cheesecake orders for anyone that is not a friend or family because cottage food laws where I live don't allow them to be sold. I would have to rent a commercial kitchen and I don't have the volume for that right now. I also don't do peanut/cashew products because of an allergy

I read the comments before watching the video & I thought you didn’t sell these items because they don’t sell well & I got nervous because the first item I’m planning on selling is cheesecake😂 I’m glad that it does sell well because I took a lot of time perfecting my recipe & making new flavors

You can also make a cheesecake with labneh. "Yogurt pie" is also a whole lot like cheesecake.

This is so funny because I also HATE cheesecake (cream cheese is 🤮)! But, I'm famous for my cheesecake. People freaking love them and I actually enjoy making them too, just won't eat it.

I agree with everything you said hahaha and I also don't like cheesecake that's why I don't make them too hhahaha

I really like you and your content is very helpful and inspiring but there's one thing which is it's not nice to say the word 'gross' on food even if you we don't like it ,there is a better words and ways to express our feelings. after all its a vert big blessing that many people don't have, so we should be appreciate it and thankful

I also don’t like cheesecakes but it’s my #1 seller. I sell them individually (rounded) and i make them fancy b/c many of my clients like them to take pics and post them lol ( the Cheesecake Factory is not that good btw, it’s very greasy and its just overpriced fast food.)

I love cheesecake but there’s no way you could make a buck off of mine. 32 ounces cream cheese and 1/2 cup of sour cream 4 eggs . Too expensive but totally delicious.

As someone with severe celiac disease, unless you can fully dedicate a gluten free space, it's not safe for us to eat. The risk of cross contamination is too high and not worth it.

@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I appreciate that so much. Most people don't understand how severe or easy it is to cross contaminate, so I like to inform them. Most of the time the intentions are good, but unfortunately make people sick.

Cheesecake is good for the first 3 bites then it is heavy and monotonous.

You CANNOT sell something as gluten-free if your kitchen and/or your machinery and equipment has ever come in contact with gluten. NEVER a good idea to EVER list anything as gluten-free if your kitchen is not gluten free. You cannot assume a customer will tell you if they have a major gluten issue because they may see gluten-free and think it's fine. No.1 you are potentially putting someone's health at risk and no.2 you are opening yourself up to a lawsuit (ps. If you are starting a business, ALWAYS set up an LLC and get small business insurance in order to protect yourself. If any legal action were to ever arise, it only affects the assets in the business and you've got insurance to help. If you don't and the unthinkable happens, you can lose everything from your car, your home and all your finances). The best thing for you to do is to list it as an item that does not contain gluten but is processed in a kitchen that does contain gluten. By stating something is gluten-free free, you are setting yourself up for a world of potential issues. Same thing goes for any allergies.

Amen! I cannot stand Cheesecake.
