We have a family tradition at Christmas. As long as I can remember, we cram into the living room after dinner on Christmas Eve (all 55 of us!). My grandpa always read the scriptures of the birth of Christ. Sadly, he passed away several years ago, so the honor has fell to my uncle, Papaw's only son. That's my very favorite part of Christmas.

Love the trees so much!! I got a very Nordic vibe with the red placemat/ribbon strip and the frilly crosses. Very boho and very pretty. The platter wall hanging was my 2nd favorite diy. Wendy the fact you love what you do and your love for our Lord is evident in all your beautiful work

Wendy, there are lights for Jesus and then there are LIGHTS for Jesus! You are not just a light, your walk the walk along with talking the talk! I can't thank you enough during this time we are living in with so much negativity and meanness in the world! We can always know that you will have a message of love and faith for us! I love the story of St. Nicholas! When we were kids we always got stuff from St. Nicholas in our stockings on December 6. We were the only ones to get anything from St. Nicholas on December 6 in our schools and in our neighborhood. My grandfather was from Germany, and this is where my mother got this tradition. Unbeknownst to us, it was our parents way to stretch the Christmas season out because they couldn't afford to give us a lot of gifts on Christmas day. (there are 8 of us kids, we were kind of poor) We just thought we were special. We also got small gifts on January 6, for the Epiphany, or Three Kings Day, for the same reason. Thank you for the memories!!! xoxo
