    There are still minimum stocks kept at the site. A new car is only produced when there is a car retrieved from site and deliver to customer. Vendors producing parts for Toyota may have stock as low as half days stock. This reduces the amount of cash tied to the stock as well as the interest cost that occur from operating expenses.

    Yes you are correct! There is often controlled min and max stock levels used to reduce customer waiting time.

    Exzellente Rekonstruktion der Geschichte. Die Zukunft von Lean könnte allerdings zu Ende sein. Zum Bespiel: Industrie 4.0 ist nicht konpatibel mit Lean, sondern nur mit Taylorismus: Poka Yoke ist lean, Industrie 4.0 ist fat.
