Les Quatre Etoiles is the Soukous musical group consisting of the Congolese musicians, Bopol Mansiamina, Wuta Mayi, Syran Mbenza and Nyboma.
Their album, Sangonini, was produced by the renowned African music producer Ibrahim Sylla. The song "Doly", from Sangoni, enjoyed worldwide popularity, reaching no. 3 in the Colombian music charts. The song "Papy Sodolo", has been covered by Tabu Ley Rochereau, another African musician of note. Another song, "Sangonini", produced in Paris and released in 1993, has also been popular.
Les Quatre Etoiles has also released the albums Adama Coly and Souffrance, as well as Live in London, a recording of their performance in the UK capital.
Their polished renditions begin in the Soukous tradition, with a slow, harmonious introduction; this then breaks out, again as in the Soukous tradition, into a fast-paced chorus known as the 'sebene' with resonating, repeated electric guitar rhythms in the background, interwoven with a choice assortment of African percussion instruments accompanied by orchestras.
Each of the four members of Les Quatre Etoiles have long established individual musical careers.

You just can't beat the Congolese beat very intoxicating. It frags you from your sitting position to dance and join in the fun. Great and soothing to ear. The bass, lead and rythymic guitar work are simply super. Double Double

Genius. I am 28 years old now, born in Kinshasa, Congo but now I live in Johannebsug, South Africa. Although I have been familiar with these rhythms but this band has blown my mind, compared to the current rumba musicians these guys have another level and standard. Cheers.

The soukous and another african rhythms are listened in the Colombian caribean coast, the music arrived in the 60's-80's. Here was born a rhythm from these african rhythms, it's called Champeta, it's very similar to soukous. I recommend you hear some champetas. Drummers are conditioned to play the drums.... They can stand it.... Some of the brothers can play for hours... It is Spirit led, like most musicians.... ASE'O!👑🌟

La composition et la voix de l'artiste chanteur de mon pays, RDC. Kanda Nyboma est tjrs le meilleur artiste chanteur que connaît mon pays, la RDC. Je suis fier de toi, Nyboma. Les Pépé Kallé, Les Papa Wemba, sont partis. On se console avec leurs oeuvres. Et toi, tu reste un légende de notre musique congolaise socle de notre unité nationale. Ton fan du Kivu.
Doublé doublé en live whaou. Voilà un bon chanteur, un artiste il n'a pas besoin d'ordinateur pour arranger sa voix. C'est une voix naturelle.

The old folk know good music. They were lucky to have lived in great times. My own grandmother in Angola used to play MBILIA Bell while I was 5. Today I listen to MBILIA Bell as I work out. Love her so much

i remember their 1st appearance in NYC @ SOBs in the 1980s, i was the DJ that night. my 15 yr old daughter was with me, what night of joy and dancing.

Haiti is an African country .

I am happy listening this sound, my father's music style, obviously he influenced me because I really like this type of african music, specially kwassa kwassa, soukouss. Nyboma, you're one the best artists in african. I am Mozambican
I can see my man wuta mayi deadly collaboration with might Nyboma. The lead guitarist is consistent in original ad live concerts the guitar never blips.
