I’ve been doing my channel for around 8 months and I’m trying to mix it up a bit with my editing but my content is by its nature kind of static. Your video has been incredibly helpful, showing you can do things catchy even if you are small and a solo creator. Cheers Mr Scott. You rock! 💪🏻

Outstanding content! I'm learning so much from this channel. Question: If you've already posted a video but then go back and edit descriptions, tags, title etc., Does that suddenly boost chances of further reach or do you have to optimize everything at the time of launch?

I think the only way that might make your video more popular is that people will think you posted a new video. I don't think it's a way to cheat the YT alg.
Fantastic video. I was actually 'hooked!' I thought I utilised many of the techniques mentioned in my videos, but it turns out I probably don't half as much as I need to, so some scenes could potentially appear a bit long and uneventful. I'll try using more of these tips in my next video and see how things improve.

Ha ha ha. Thanks vidIQ for bringing John back again on camera. He is so funny when explaining the hacks (Rob and Dan don't get jelous. Just kidding, each of you have a unique style and I like all) Another video to include in my rewatch list videos. Greetings from Spain.
I think an amazing feature that youtube should add is translated videos. Instead of audio tracks, the sound and the video both get translated so there could be an English version of the video and a Spanish version of the video and if it's in English, the audio and all the on-screen text can be English and if it's in Spanish, the audio and all the on-screen text can be in Spanish. This would benefit creators who know multiple languages.

I believe they are working on implementing a transcription service something like that
@i.shuuya3231
Жыл бұрын
I have no idea if it's possible to do right now, but I can see how that'd work. You'd need an AI to correctly identify all the pieces of text in a video, so then that'd get translated and pasted on the video. I wonder how'd that go. The text "swapping" should be seamless (optimistically). If you wanted to replace a long word with a shorter translated one, how do you fill in the empty space? Maybe with technology like Photoshop's generative fill. These kind of advancements are really fascinating
@yougoslavia
Жыл бұрын
@@i.shuuya3231 You don't have to do that. You can just get the footage and edit it into different languages.

Another thing to remember is that you don't necessarily need to have something physically in front of you. Remember that you can add an image that wasn't originally in the video into the video, or even remove the bad parts. Even after you're done recording a simple video, you can record another little video to add more clear information or make a scene look better.
This editing is AMAZING! This is so entertaining you can forget you're learning because of the hooks and the visual dynamics that look so good together!

This is very informative. I’d love to see a video about some of the zoom effects and cuts because a lot of the videos that annoy me or the ones where the audio is jarringly cut. It gets annoying real fast for me and some of the zooms I’ve seen is also annoying. I’d love to see how good of a usage it can be and why at times I’ll be checking more of these videos.

Had to comment! John you are SUPER TALENTED!! The editing in this is incredible! No wonder VidiQ snatched you up. WOW!
Great video and examples! What’s the best editing software you recommend to do this type of editing? I’m currently still on iMovie and feel very limited 😢
I've been doing the last two points for at least a year, it's the hook that I don't always have. I need to work on having a consistent hook. Something that will engage the viewer and make more wanna stay after the 30 second mark. I have ideas, but generally forget them and fall back on my more comfortable format. Since my channel is more for a viewer to unwind, it's hard learning what will make people wanna stay. So, I'm trying to dial that in with my aforementioned ideas.
Wow, this video is great and blew me away! Loved all the editing techniques! It really shows how you can take a very dull and boring video and give it a completely different feel by making some adjustments to editing style. Excellent work on this, I know this probably took a while to make.
