so true i have 4 birds 2 from a pet shelter and ther names are tofu and sky and 2 birds from a rescue they are named kiwi a hope

That crinkly paper looks fun on itself! Oh wait, these toys are for birds? Never mind...

So I made the paper straw toy and added my birds favourite treat inside and my bird can't resist playing with it. I made a million toys in the past but he did not enjoyed a single one so I did not had hope in this toy. But when I gave it to my bird, he played with it for hours *I made 6*. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. This was very helpful. Keep up the good work!

*bird screams at me while I watch this* I think my bird doesn’t understand that a toy is something to destroy but she thinks it’s something trying to attack her and she gets really mad at it

these are very helpful my bird tends to get scared from some toys that I buy from stores and it takes time for him to get used to so this will save my life thank you!

I just made the paper straw ones and the Bao! My budgies and cockatiel love them so much! In fact, they loved the straw ones so much they destroyed them in seconds! So I looped some on a piece of jute to keep them busy in their cages a little longer

Hi ! john ex patt here Thailand ive a male / female pair sun conures we also had a baby sunconure several months ago wich was decapitated by a snake as we keep them in huge.cages outdoors due to perfect climate . do take a peek if you choose so

Love it, I am all about DIY :D Bird toys are so over priced on a lot of parrot websites. I tend to buy bulk toy parts and make my own toys, along with dollar store untreated wood items. Untreated sisal rope is also easy to buy in bulk at my local farm supply store!

planning on getting a Green-Cheeked Conure somewhere down the line. I'm trying to do all the research and things I'm going to need ahead of time, honestly my time frame is somewhere around 1-2 years. mostly because I want to make sure I have everything I'm going to need and I know what I am doing when I do finally purchase my Conure. I'm also holding off on a name until I know the little ones personality. I know each bird is different in terms of personality and disposition.

I'm glad that you already have a setup for getting a commission from Amazon, since I'm sure some folks want to purchase the exact items you use

I've tried both making and buying toys for my two conures but they never seem to play with them or are outright afraid of them, even when I put food inside of them, at most the only thing they will do is poop on them. Do you have any advice on how to get my birds to engage with toys I bring them without being afraid?

I’m making a few tonight and was wondering. I have a Quaker that’s been laying eggs. I don’t want to leave her out but I also don’t want her to try building a nest. Do you think these toys are ok for egg layers or should I only give them to my boys for now?

I have a question can birds actually inhale all of these like wrapping things and all that the things we wrap it in does that mean that they could inhale it or no because for the Popsicle ones it is a pretty good idea but can they inhale it

Another easy toy is a paper straw, folded accordion style, and punched in each section. You can unfold to stuff, retold and put a cord through the holes. You can hang it or tie it to the side of the cage.

May i ask where you got thebird at 0:28? I love the color variation and It’s my dream bird but I have no idea where to get it. And also what type of bird is it, I’m pretty sure I know but I would like to make sure. So if you could help it would mean a lot 🥺

thats great! 😊 you dont really have to modify the second or fourth toy so you can make it exactly as i did! you might have to hold the first and third toys for your budgies to play with unless you can find a way to hang them!

How u have such a great bond with Ur birds I've a parrot from 6 year's he doesn't even stel up on my hand and is soooo scared of everything when I try to teach him step up he flies Away doesn't even listen to me he lands on fan and it's difficult to get him down he doesn't even talj what can I do plz tell how can I teach him to step up and not be frightened and come or fly to me when I call him🥺🥺

I’d say provide them with some foot toys maybe some natural wood so it’ll keep them busy for a while or you could put them on your head 😊

Depends on the size of the cage but the bigger the better just don’t crowd it with toys

Curious question: Can you use shredded printer paper as a substitute for crinkle paper?

Great question! I’ve actually thought about this myself and decided that shredded printer paper is probably not as safe. If you look at the shredded printer paper, you’ll see that there’s a lot of fine dust from the paper being shredded. I’d be worried about birds breathing in the paper dust and I believe paper shredders have oil placed on the blades to help with shredding paper so I’d be worried about them ingesting the oil! Hope this helps!

I have a cueadtion, is it bad for buggies toe breath in the bits of the roap??

Hi! Thank you for toy ideas. I have an indian ring neck alexandrine parrot since December. We did not let him out of the cage at all because we are afraid to hurt himself when fly to the window. After so many months is not acomodated with us, we cant touch him at all, is scard when i put hand in cage, she barely take a seed or piece a fruit from hand but nothing more. My girls are very sad because parrot do not socialise at all. I think the parot is 2-3years old. What sould i do? Please help. Thank you.

my budgies doesn't hold their food/toys with their feet. they drops it due to only holding it with their beak while trying to chomp on it.
