Great video but you missed one that you might want to add. When I try to explain this one to people they usually don't get it, but I think you will. Many years ago we created an in-house CAD system at an architectural firm, long before AutoCAD and there was an odd quirk that became extremely useful. The system allowed you to scale anything by zero. So think about how your mirroring example worked. Now consider that you have multiple lines or vertices that you want to align relative to something else. You can place you 3D cursor at a vertex, select all the lines which are in different places and scale by 0 along an axis. If you use a local axis its a good way to align surfaces at odd rotations.

Are you able to do a tutorial on how to create hollow tank models for interior design? I'm having trouble with figuring out the best way to create both an exterior and interior model while not running into thing such as just copying the models basic shape and shrinking it down.

there's a couple ways, solidify (but it could be a bit glitchy), internally scaling faces along normals. both of these methods have the stupidly high geometry flaw, IMO just basically remodel the interior, likely with the only details that you need and connect them with deleted faces and bridges where the hatches and turrent ring is, etc

Thanks for your work, i love the Vector Scaling.

Thank you for the detailed tutorial. I am pretty new to blender, but I still need a lot of experience with the 3d cursor and origin point. Thanks!

The vector scaling technique is pretty neat! 👍 Thanks for enlightening me. 😊 What I else can help here though is going through the menu [View] > [Align View] > [Align View to Active] > [Top] (or [Front] or whatever direction suits the situation best). I have that in my Quick Favorites which can come in handy in some situations. Other than that hitting [G] key twice to move selected verts along edges and then hitting [C] to disable clamp can also be a big help. Nonetheless some great tips in this video. Thanks again! 😘

usually for these purposes I select a face or an edge and add an orientation

for the first one another option is using an empty at the center then an array modifier then u can just rotate that empty

And for the last method, can I use GG then Alt and move all the vertices along the edge at once?

Why would one rotate the 3D cursor?
