@@RandomB00k Yeah I’d personally consider a mini vacuum that sucks up eraser bits to be a luxury, but perhaps that’s just me. People are fully allowed to buy whatever they want, but to call it essential is a pretty big stretch imo

Please note that a strip shredder like that is not at all recommended for confidential documents, only junk mail. If you're shredding bank statements, SSNs, or anything that level of personal info, the minimum recommendation is a shredder with a cutting style of Super Cross-Cut, which is a security level of P-4, and makes 400 shreds per page. Personally I use an electric cross-cut (NOT super), whose security level is P-3 due to its 200 shreds per page, as opposed to the strip-cut demonstrated in the video whose security level is only P-2 topping out at ~20 cuts per page, but I also burn all my most sensitive documents instead of putting them in the trash, so the extra security of P-4 isn't necessary for me.

​@@debbiethompson6240 because when they jump on your desk, they can throw everything that hangs there down, chew on your pens and depending on what else you have there, even hurt themselves. I have one but my cat never really cared for that, he likes to chew on my canvases and knock pens over more ☠️

I have two very mischievous cats and that same pegboard. It's holding strong, and my cats showed no interest in it. I guess it will depend on your cats though

It's so nice using a ReMarkable 2 Tablet to write, no need for a vacuum hehe

Yall it's what she knows have become essential to her organization/cleanliness at her desk. Shes not forcing you to buy it. Shes just showing what she uses. Its essential to her. Yes, its a luxury to be able to have these things. Thats just known. Just watch the nice video and move on.

I beg to differ. I work in a small office that i share with 2 other coworkers, and we are teying to get two more. A paper shredder is super loud and bulky. The paper shredder would be useless for a group setting involving large amounts of paper, but just for myself and few papers scattering around, this works perfectly. My team can get their own paper shredder if they like to.

@@oNovais I get that. The thing is with a paper shredder, the teeth being so close together, has a much better time getting in between letters and words. Ripping with your hands, you leave chunks of visible paper that can easily contain someone's address, full name, their phone number. If the paper contains extremely important information, ripping it by hand just is not safe.

@@supersaiandemon neither is this paper shredder tbh if the documents are all that sensitive. I thought it was cool for a second then remembered that electric ones with their 4 way cutters are a thing for a reason. A malicious actor can still tape docs shredded in straight strips quite easily

Sis I am a student just wanting to organize my desk so I can study. These 4 'essentials' are worth more than my whole room :)

That shredder is a no from me. That doesn't look very secure. Might as well tear it into pieces by hand.
