@@Just_A_Name14 that has nothing to do with the way he advertised. You really think you said something interesting. No offense
Hi. I'm from Vancouver Canada. I want to sincerely say I love your shows. You are easy to follow, great tips and advice and enjoyable to watch. Thanks for all you do 😊
Hope with the success of the channel and the new ownership of botanical interests you guys still take some time for yourselves to enjoy what you’ve created. You guys always get me stoked to go plant something in the dirt.
It’s 1am and literally just took advantage of that seed discount. My bank declined my first attempt and then sent me a fraud alert. It’s like they don’t know me at all!! 😂 I’ve set them straight and am eagerly awaiting my seeds. ❤️
Maybe do a Cold Frame this winter? You do have a green house, but you could definitely garden more in the winter! A lot of Kales and Cabbages can survive deep frosts, and since you are very south and on the west coast, it could work.
Great tips! Just a note on the in-bed Compost bucket. Make sure you cut the bottom off before you bury it. It's not needed and helps with moisture retention and allows easy access for the worms. I also highly recommend them, the peppers I have next to my worm bin are twice as big and are much healthier than the peppers planted at the same time away from it.

Thank you for that tip. I just filled my raised garden bed and buried a food grade 5 gal bucket. I'm not the best with tools and thought removing the bottom was a good idea but did not know how to cut out bottom safely. Can you tell me how you removed the bottom? Ty

@@gsmithmoore9570 Actually, if you go to a landscape shop, they sell these "utility boxes" for sprinkler valves that are basically boxes with a lid on top and without bottoms. You could probably get those instead of a bucket. They're probably more expensive than a bucket, but they're also designed to be buried in the ground.
Could you do a video comparing no-till and raised garden beds? I am on the no-till pathway with 15 yards of compost getting delivered in the next two weeks. I understand a fair amount about what makes no-till chemically different from a raised bed. I have no understanding how this translates into results in reality. I imagine I am not the only one lacking complete clarity in this regard. Keep up the great work Kevin! I don't think we remind you enough how inspirational it is for the new gardener.
Legitimately blew my mind with that first one
I'm so excited for you and your new ownership of botanical interests! I've been watching your channel for years and you've truly inspired me in my urban garden!
That tip about Ollas in particular is life changing! Thank you so much
I dont even garden in raised beds, but if EG posts i watch.
I need the maker pipe trellis! I’d use it for both a string trellis and shade cloth support! It will look so much better than the janky thing I set up.
Birdies are now in the US? Go Aussie. Best beds ever and I've had one for 25 years..good as gold!

They made them accessible in the US maybe 4 yrs ago? I'm not sure but I got them the first yr it was available in USA 😊
I need to get raised beds. Oh wait! Conveniently place birdies raised bed ad! Thanks epic gardening!
I recently did the Buy 3 and Get 1 Free. I've been waiting for a couple of years to buy these beds, but I couldn't pass them up when they went on sale. I even got them delivered within a week of ordering! I can't wait to get these things set up in my yard.

They are amazing! I love the ones I have, it helps my back so much.
Thanks for the editing when sawing 👍
I bought and loved Botanical Interest seeds way before your ownership. I was so happy to hear the news! Placed 2 big orders for seeds and beds. I am so excited as we have been dying for these Birdies beds!!! You guys are great. Thanks for all you do. Love you Kevin and Jacques!
I feel like you're in my brain Kevin! I just placed a super big order on both epic gardening and botanical interests and have beds coming so this is perfect timing! I noticed there was no straw available though.. I hope its just out of stock and not being discontinued!
Thank you for this information
Can attest I built Jacques Makerpipe trellis last year and it worked wonders. Designing a different configuration for this years crop but I will be using the same conduit and Makerpipe connectors.
Thank you for this video
Just bought some seeds. Love the 40 percent off sale. Thanks guys!!!! Love your videos!!!
I love this format of ad. It's so cheery and has already marketed to me haha
I love that bamboo trellis! So easy. I’m trying that.
Thx for the buy 3 get 1 offer. I wanted 4 more to complete my gardening area. I already have 9 Birdies currently. I appreciate the product!
I placed my seed order the other day and I can’t wait, I always buy your seeds from my local nursery but the sale price was way too good to pass up!
Top notch! Thanks so much ❤
Thank you for the 40 % of Botanical interest. I just ordered a bunch of seed for the Years to come 😅

Thank you for showing me step by step how to do this bamboo teepee trellis. I've tried it the wrong way so many times.
I’ve been tying up by bamboo like a damn bozo! Thanks for the great tips Kevin! I mean Eric 😂
I know this may not be DIY but grassroots makes soil beds that have a pvc structure for trellis. Makes it a lot easily. Just an idea if someone needs trellis and a new garden bed. its a great option.
I love the bamboo trellis! Gonna get some ceramic pots to DIY my own ollas! 🤗 Thanks, guys! :)
Ordered more birdies, can't wait to get them!
Best advice....as always!
😂I like your protective cover! Love all your tips!!
I just put together 2 birdies last night. Good ideas 💡
That maker pipe trellis kit is EPIC!! 🤩
Ok, may be sold for more Birdy beds, love the 2 I got last year😉
sidenote: i love the little video game animations, boxes and dialogue. and that it's like the oldschool or handheld stuff. it's just fun. (the emojis to show what jaques was supposedly saying was cracking me up. bird + bed. took me a sec to realize it would be about the sale. then garlic + grenade. hahahaaa)
Thanks, I got your patent protected Epic Gardening lid for my old trash can composter.
Thanks cool, I will give it a go.
I’ve made climbers out of turning a tomato cages upside down, tie the ends and add twine 😊
Excellent video🌹🌹🌹🌹
Good tips!
I post your content and Mark from self sufficient me on my Gardening page. Love the content i seen Mark shouted you out. Glad to see KZread Community coming together
Awesome 👏 keep the good work up ⬆️ ❤
Clever advertising, usable content. Very likable. If I lived close I would purchase from you all. Happy weekend.
Great video! Did not see the ollas for sale in your links... Thanks!
Thanks for the epic sale Plant Daddy!
Epic dog in the background. 😆
Love tee pee trellis!
Put pumpkins in my birdies last fall after Halloween. This is an awesome fertilizer.
If you have a dog and decide to do the bucket compost thing make sure you use a tight-fitting lid and make sure it's on every time you close it. My dog got into it once and ate half-composted material and got really high, it was really scary.
Hi very nice 👍 I love so much this
I've never ever heard of an olla!! I'm going to try it at some point bc with my work schedule, its hard to water sometimes. I get home at midnight and there's freaky and loud noises coming out of the woods around my house, im not going out there to water!😂 so an olla would be great!😂😂
Hey Kevin, what's your plan for the empty space in the front? I'm curious as to what that will become.
I use garden twine to create netting for cukes. works well
Kevin, thanks for the great deal on the Birdies Beds. I bought 3 of the Tall 8-in-1 beds and got 1 FREE (a savings of $300)! I thought that was so great I decided to go back and get 3 of the Originals. I was sad to see that it took my $300 savings from the tall bed and now gave me 2 of the Originals for free. It was still a $300 dollar savings but if I had gotten 1 of each style for free it would have been a $450 savings. Because of that I decided not to get the Originals. I know it’s just business but Epic could have made another $450 in sales if it was “buy 3 and get the 4th (of that style) for free” then if someone wanted to go down in size make that an option. Thanks again for a great Sale but maybe tweak it a little next time.

The pixelated video game graphics are awesome
LOVE this!!! Now where can I find those bamboo? 🥲
Where can I get the "patent protected epic gardening card board cover" from?
I've been very interested in Ollas but in my climate I would have to dig it up every fall and then dig in the spring to put it back. I'm not sure if that would be worth it to disrupt the soil every season.
Lashing starts with a clove hitch 😉 😘
What about a bucket on top of the makerpipe trellis with an old hose attached with holes. Then youll be able to gravity feed water.
They need to sale epic denim shirts!!
Love your videos and would love to be able some of your products but you don’t ship to Canada. Are they available anywhere in Canada?
Man! I just bought three beds in April. 🙃
The bird and bed icons... 😂
Jacque has our back
Sirius Black just casually runs through😂😂😍💕
I used my gf’s old 3x pvc laundry basket divider thing as a frame for my raised beds 😂
Have you tried using waffle gardens (sunken beds)? They are used by the indigenous Pueblo peoples of the Southwest and help with water conservation.
Hey guys great work as per always. What's happened with Chris? Is she busy?
Random bee noise 🐝 1:36
Great video, Kevin. And great sale! One correction though. If your viewers were to buy 12 beds, it seems like they’d get 4 more beds free, not 3. Maybe you meant if they bought/paid for 9 beds, they’d get 3 more beds free, for a TOTAL of 12?

Yes to buy 9 get 3
I'm seeing your ads on Facebook and some games, and I hope business explodes for you guys! I've been following Kevin since the old house, and obviously, I love the content. Also, I have 7 Birdies raised beds with 4 more on the way. They're pricey but well worth the investment!!! Good luck! ❤❤❤
I’m curious about the worm bin in the raised bed. How would you go about harvesting the worm castings? Or do you just leave it in place for the raised bed to utilize the worm juice.
@IjeomaThePlantMama
Жыл бұрын
I believe the worms spread some of the castings on their own then they crawl through the bed. If you want to harvest castings the traditional way, I'd suggest a regular worm bin.
Video title: 4 Dead-Simple Project[s] to Upgrade Your Raised Beds - literally 6 seconds into the video - Kevin: We're giving you 5 easy DIYs.....
Have you tried using electroculture on some of the raised beds to see if there is more yield on those beds ?
Black doggo!!!
How long do the Birdies beds last? I have 12-inch tall cedar raised beds that I built 10 years ago that have reached the end of their lives and need replacing.
@h.s.6269
Жыл бұрын
I think they are supposed to last around 25 yrs. I've had mine for maybe 4 yrs and there is almost zero wear. I'd highly recommend them, especially the 30" tall ones, it makes it so much easier on your back.
Patent protected cover is what's been missing in my life
Genuinely curious: how is this prolonged gloomy period affecting your gardening schedule? I don't know if my beans are going to get enough sun this year and it's a huge bummer.
cool dog :)
Your advertisement is halirious 🤣
Wish i had had more warning about the birdie sale, so i could've made sure i had enough money for them. Thats a big chunk of money to spend all at once. I would absolutely love having another row of them, but its too short of notice for me... ugh, i wish i could though man, i love those beds, i have 4 tall ones rn. Another row would've been so nice!
Ok self sufficient me had your seedlings punents available in Australia now? I've been asking for since forever
Hey not all of us can go to the hardware store and pick up green painted bamboo steaks. How about showing us how to harvest our own? It would be cool to know and show a more natural way of getting garden steaks
Hey My name is Tom James I live outside of Atlanta . I grow tomatos for quite a long time .This year I have problems with small plants I have been fertilizing with dr earth Not really happy with how they are growing. The better boys just are very thin but have green leaves am I panicing for no reason or can you suggest something I can use to pick up the pace on the 3 smaller plants.I bought these at Home Depot Bonnie plants. The big boys are getting bigger and look great
Arrr, me hearty gardening crew, Ahoy Kev, Ahoy Jacques, and the rest of yer fine team! I be an admirer of yer captivating content, ye see. Now, I be havin' a request for ye. Would ye be so kind as to craft a video on the treacherous topic of compartmentalization of decay in trees? Aye, it be a matter of great concern, for I've come to learn that misguided pruning practices can be a sly accomplice to decay in our mighty arboreal companions. 'Tis because ye see, trees don't mend like we landlubbers do, they be sealin' their wounds! The knowledge on this matter be scattered like gold doubloons on the vast internet, and it needs yer skilled hands to gather it all in one tidy trove. I be forever grateful for yer efforts, me kindest of fams. Fair winds and smooth sailin' to ye all!
A level and a pipe cutter please
How are you guys able to ship to the UK but not Alaska?
I'd love to pick up some of the raised beds but the link is not working for me. Any suggestions?
I have those same tall raised beds, and they are bulging in the middle (full of soil). Is there any way to fix it with the soil/plants in it?
Where can we get Ollas? Also, do I remember correctly, those clay pots need to be from Italy? They are the only producers of clay pots with No led? Thank you!
I couldn't find a Trellis Kit online in Australia
With this sale I'm starting to wonder if Jacques is trying to turn Epic Gardening to Jacques Gardening
Oops, something went wrong. Try your link again. Thats the message leading to the raised beds details.
