Your wife is an angel! Making these meals for you (and writing what they contain on the outside) is her way of making you feel that you always have a bit of home with you on the road. That's nice!

Hey am new here
I'm an airline pilot and I sympathize with you. When it comes down to it, most days I'm just sittin' in a chair flying a plane. But it's the schedule that wears on you. Getting up at 3AM (2AM when you account for time zones) is the main thing. No such thing as a "sleep schedule." We sleep we can get it. Our union contracts mandate hotels but there are a lot of times where I think "you know if my airplane had a bunk that was quiet and cozy I'd rather just sleep there and not have to deal with the whole hotel bullshit." I respect the hell out of truck drivers. Trucks are what keep our economy going.

I thought about being a pilot I even have 20 hours logged for my ppl. I ran out of money though, working as a retail warehouse associate is definitely not enough money for the flight instruction :(

Hot damn... To think that I always thought being a pilot was a dream job, until reality sank in and I realised it's as bad as working hospitality if not worse.

I start trucker school next week, then OTR for at least 6 months. I think I'll enjoy it. Got no wife or kids, just me, and I've always wanted to be a trucker.

That was my thinking when I started trucking school in March of 2021. Not having a wife or kids did make it easier to be away from home. I got lucky though, my first two months I pulled Walmart loads and was home weekly. I was OTR again after that for two weeks and then I was on a dedicated route for the rest of my time at my first company. Went from Cleveland to Dallas every week and was home weekly. Only spent maybe 2 or 3 resets on the road.
@papabear9481

@@TerminusOmega13 How did you spend 2-3 resets on the road, but yet still be home every week? Considering we have a 70 hr clock per week, that sounds unlikely man...
@papabear9481

*Zandor* Is it (everything) they lied about and told you it would be? Seriously though, I (honestly) wish you the best bro, that is if you are still trucking, if not, then I certainly do not blame you man. Good luck either way
@TerminusOmega13
Жыл бұрын
@@papabear9481 I meant that in that first year I only did 2-3 of my resets away from home. All the rest I was at home for. Not that I did 2-3 resets a week or something like that. My route was a simple back and forth dedicated route, so I went to my shipper, drove to the receiver, then returned to the terminal for my home time before going back to the shipper.

Hi 👋 am New here
It was cool to hear that you had worked in the funeral industry. I spent 22 years in that industry, and I am still a license funeral director and licensed in Palmer. I have been planning on going to trucking school for a while now, and I'm about to do that. I am a bit knowledgeable about the industry because my brother has been over the road now for 20 years. Thanks for sharing that video, and you are blessed to have such a wonderful wife.
The struggles of an OTR driver are massively overlooked. Great vid driver.
New subscriber. I wanted to be a trucker when I was younger but glad I didn’t. I have trouble driving a regular vehicle in tight spaces 😂

I hope you tell your wife how much you appreciate her!! She is absolutely expressing her love for you through food, and THAT, my friend, is a woman who loves you VERY much.
I remember he was working for Coca Cola a few years ago. That was the same time I was with 7up. Good to see him move on to other ventures as did I as well. Im now a garbage man for Recology in the Bay Area 👍🏽 Stay blessed viewers 🙏🏽
I have my class A and I could never do what you do, I have a lot of respect for you. I currently drive a B truck for a wine distributor and that’s working out well for me.

please make more videos. As a child born in India, ive always daydreamed of how a life as a truck driver in the United states would be, and to see your videos where you show how affectionately your wife packs you lunch and how you work hard to make sure you get home for the weekends is amazing. I appreciate what you do to hold this country together and the sacrifice you make to do it. I want to become a truck driver but I need to wait about 6 months. I’m a medical marijuana patient and I know most companies do hair follicle tests so I wanna make sure I’m clean as a whistle before I go for it.

New subscriber and happy to have found your channel. I worked at Sadlers Travel Plaza in Dunn, NC for several years. In that time my thought went from “they have such an easy job” to “I don’t know how anyone can do all that work everyday”. Some of the best people I met were at that job. Drivers from everywhere. Lots of Prime, Sunshine Carriers, etc. drivers. I was 20 when I started that job and moved back home to VA around 26-27. There’s a few drivers even 10+ years later that are still a part of my “family” who became like second and third dads to me. Some of THE nicest people with lots of knowledge people will ever meet. Thanks for what you do.
Simply saying Thank you to you and your fellow truckers that bring the goods we all consume. You video shows the human side that we never see when pulling something off a shelf or the truck we may pass on a highway or interstate. Thank you and your fellow truckers and stay safe on your journeys.
Thank you so much for this! I am currently studying to get my permit so I can go to trucking school. I've been watching a lot of videos. You're the first I'm subscribing to. The more I can learn before I start, the better. ❤
Great content. Thank you for taking us along.
I am so glad I found this channel. It’s the best. No bullshit no whining. Just trucking
As a single lady trucker I envy you fellas with a good spouse that helps take care of you like food and laundry etc. 🤗 It gets so tiring spending my hometime doing everything I need to do to get ready to drag my stuff and myself back into my truck. Lol Safe travels my friends ❤
I am woman, and have to say you are a very blessed man with that lady. I am sure you always show great appreciation for her. She is a one in a million 💎.
26:10 that’s another one of those great feelings when you get home and see your boy. They’re also so happy to see you it makes those 5 day trips worth it.
Enjoyed your video. Bless all of you guys who are out there getting everyone the things they need. You guys are the backbone of our country for sure and don't get the appreciation deserved.
You have a beautiful family. I always try and be courteous on the road to truck drivers, keep on providing us a glimpse into the Truckin Lifestyle.

I stumbled upon your video and all I have to say is that you are a good human. Stay blessed, you and your family!
I just saw your video/channel Thanks for making this video. My special friend is a trucker and this video helped me see what other truckers go through daily. He really likes his job, also. His freezer went out last week. Lost all his food. He is on the road for a couple months at a time. Yes, he has a hard time finding parking spots and empty trailers. And the weather conditions are getting worst.
So glad I came across this channel. I'm really enjoying it.
Awesome video. Thank you very much!
Great video! Just getting into trucking myself. Just medium rigid 10 speed stuff from Sydney to Forster about 200 mile stretch on the east coast of Australia.. I also have spent 6 years in a factory and wish I got into trucking sooner! I love it! Great production. Keep up the good work 🤙😬
Am actually about to start to learn how to drive a truck and thanks for the words of encouragement.....I appreciate and stay safe role model. 🙏

Just discovered your channel. This video makes me feel as though I am watching a professionally produced video for a career day at a school or something similar. Nicely done! Great info! Oh and too bad you didn't find out about the broken fridge earlier, could have put your food in the reefer trailer ;-)

Oh, and before you run out and buy another refrigerator, you might want to check the fuse on the back of the refrigerator. have a reset switch on the back of it could’ve just tripped.

You know I feel spoiled being a Regional dedicated truck driver cause I know my route very well and the times for traffic and such so my hat off to you sir!

hi, I enjoyed you video. brings me back to when I was O TR. thanks
Stumbled across your channel randomly! I heard Florence, SC and my ears perked up because, this is where I live and Florence is a very peculiar city here in South Carolina! You’ve earned a loyal subscriber! Been driving trucks since 2019!
Dude no BS… this video made me a bit emotional. I’ve had my CDL now for 5 months but finding a carrier that ISN’T 100% touch freight is not easy as most require a year. So I’ve been contemplating going regional to get the experience but that means time away from home. Thankfully, I have a fucking awesome wife who’s been supportive as hell and gave me the green light to just do it because she knows how much trucking means to me. I’ve pretty much tortured myself through physical labor driving jobs to get where I am and she’s witnessed it all. We’ve been together 8 years and I have a 14 year old stepdaughter through her. Going regional will be a HUGE change for all of us but she’s been so supportive. Those meals and coming home to family must be a huge weight off your shoulders every week! I’ve got some thinking to do… keep truckin’ brother!
Just subscribed thanks for video would love to see more like this with prayer I will be a truck driver soon….. beautiful family brother
Good show bro, really enjoyed it. Best wishes to you and your family. Stay safe and keep on trucking !!
Thanks for your videos, awesome, GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Thank you Brother, I loved your content, I am about to be joining you soon, just graduated my Truck driving school, got my CDL and got an interview with a company I was referred to by my instructor, so God willing I will have my first job, looking for a dry van regional or otr, and hit the highways making people happy they got their stuff
Great job!
Just beautiful, smooth presentation and great vid. Best of luck..
You do a great job brother! The editing and short cuts are perfect, makes me feel like I'm going along for the ride! 👍
Thank you for taking us along!!! Please continue to make videos as I'm enjoying yours. I got my CDL about 6 months ago and I'm working on an "encore career" in trucking in 5 years. So I'll be on the road soon, but really like these types of videos that show us the real deal!
