The falling "Angel Hair" is the most fascinating to me. It reminds me a lot of the Oakville Incident, where unidentified transparent blobs began to fall out of the sky and make people incredibly ill--also speculated to be connected to jellyfish! Given that the Angel Hair fell in multiple places throughout history.... I think it's entirely natural. I think there's some undiscovered high-altitude microorganism living high up in our atmosphere and when enough of them collide, static causes them to stick together forming webs that eventually fall. We always talk about crazy undiscovered species in the ocean, who says there isn't anything above us too?

I mean, I would argue that alien life (assuming it exists, which I find it hard to imagine it doesn't) is just as natural as life on Earth, but you make a good point. It's clearly not the result of one single event, like an asteroid entering Earth's atmosphere and raining alien life forms down on us, and it's probably not intelligent life visiting us on purpose, so it does seem likely that it came from here. Sounds like something we should get scientists looking into more, because it's fascinating either way. :)

That's what dictatorships like that of Portugal at the time want you to believe, they erase history of any kind, not just UFO extraordinary stories, but even more mundane stuff, such as the census data of the country at the time, the people 'disappered' by the military, etc. free speech and scientific thinking in general. It's sketchy but not in the sense that those involved in that research had bad intentions, they were just not doing science correctly as they were underfunded and unprepared. But I don't believe it's anything so bizarre as they did, it's probably just an animal, like spiders who migrate in the air in groups of some other unique creature.

Idk but my theory, just based on this video, is death from either embolism, or Mercury poisoning. If the changes in atmospheric pressure were drastic, descending from the mountain top, it could potentially explain the bruising of the lungs. I don’t know of a toxicology report, but Mercury levels change at high altitudes, which could affect blood flow. It could explain why she survived.

The Angel Hair one reminds me of how some species of spiders migrate via ballooning; which is when spiders uses their silk threads to create a "kite" and glide along the winds. It could be possible that the Angel Hair phenomenon could be an unknown species of microorganism that uses a similar method to said spiders. EDIT: Also the two "UFOs" that was seen could be a group of said organisms bunched up together.

11:11 speaking of dyatlov pass, over here on the west coast of the USA we have our own strange and similar incident in the form of the yuba city 5, And as it happens, I live only a few minutes from where their bodies were found. It’s been awhile since I heard the story but I’ll retell what I can remember. Five young guys went to a basketball game down in Chico, came up to paradise afterward and somehow ended up taking shelter from a snowstorm in a park ranger shelter. Which I always found weird in itself because it’s snowed here like 3 times in my entire life and it hardly stuck to the ground. Anyway, one of the boys was found still inside the shelter under a ton of blankets, but it looked like he froze. There was food in a locker that was completely untouched, and their car was working perfectly when found. The other four boys went off into the woods for no discernible reason and were taken by the elements or mountain lions, if I’m not misremembering one of their bones were found to have been chewed on by a big critter. Also important to note that all five of them had some sort of mental handicap. That’s all I can really think of and I know my story telling skills are shit but if anyone’s interested you oughta look it up

@@milowolfface9392 I just re read up on it and yeah it’s actually an insane story. Like I said I’ve lived in and around the Chico area my whole life and shit like that just doesn’t happen here. The most obvious explanation was that they were followed by someone or something, but if that’s the case then why would they leave the shelter, and why was at least one of them just able to live inside for months, then like you said how did he die from the elements when there was plenty of supplies? Obviously this would be where their mental disabilities came into play but if they were all high functioning enough to be out on their own I think they could’ve taken basic care of themselves in that cabin. I think if I had to pick an option, just knowing the people around here, I’d assume that some assholes followed them up that road and started fucking with them, but lost track of them eventually at which point the guys found that shelter. Maybe the guy who was found inside was the first to feel the effects of frostbite one his feet, and the other four left to find help. Still doesn’t explain how the first one survived so long in the cabin, and why he was wrapped up like a corpse when he was found, but without dipping into the supernatural it’s the best I got

But that story, just reeks of malice with very little to show it. Horrifying story for what seems like people who did no wrong. Just makes it worse that some were equivalent to kids or early teens in terms of a mind set. I remember hearing a theory that they ran into someone who needed help. But was an ambush in disguise. I remember reading about the angel hair incident on Childress' magazine. However, it was not just because the government was ultra Catholic and nationalist. It was a full blown 50 year dictatorship like in many countries in Europe at that time. Salazar did not want any foreign attention towards the country, let alone meddling that could bring the populace to question the sacred trinity. God, Homeland and family. It is a shame really, because collecting a sample is a rare event when these things happen. Let alone by a scientist and having so many witnesses. I think this one is far more credible than the Fátima apparitions which sound more like a copy cat version of the French ones.

Hamar-Daban incident: I’m voting for the cause of death to be some sort of pressure trauma caused by the altitude combined with the slope and weird storm. This would explain the bleeding from the ears (barotrauma), as well as the strangled-feeling and foaming at the mouth (pulmonary edema seen in severe altitude sickness). This would be a freak occurrence, but weird things seem to happen more often on climbs.

True. Also, it is possible that most of them ate or drank something that was or had become naturally toxic and the survivor just hadn't had any of it. One episode of Naked and Afraid was a large group of returning contestants. The majority of the last ones remaining ate fruit and became extremely ill--no one dies but possibly because they had medical treatment immediately. They were super sick--and some had long-term effects. It turns out that they had eaten fruit that had bat saliva and urine on it which had made them ill. The 2 people that refused to eat the fruit were fine. Sort of reminds me of that.

The symptoms resemble HAPE and other altitude related illnesses, but that wouldn't explain the low protein that they were all found to have or the reason it hit everyone at the same moment. The Angel Hair story reminds me of Junji Ito's story "Sensor" and makes me think it was inspired by the Angel Hair mystery.

My favorite part about your videos (besides the awesome creep factor) is that I always learn about topics that I hadn't heard of before. So many horror channels on KZread like to recycle the same stories but you always seem to find the more uncommon ones. I appreciate that, Lazy. Thank you 😊

I absolutely love the stories of the "unknown". I'm a huge horror fan and the thing that happen to inspire horror/thriller type stories. i've been listening to you for years. from creepy pastas til now. mysterious frequencies, ufo sightings over the years, especially sightings directly over the white house. I love hearing about it all. The hamar-daban incident was absolutely interesting & eerie of the three

While I listened to the second case, I thought I was having an odd déjà vu, thinking I heard it in a dream or something. Then I realized that Nick Crowley covered this story as well :P

Just a note: I used to a good bit of flying in a Cessna( including a 182 back in my Civil Air Patrol adventures). They have instruments that tell you when your descending, upside down, and in a bank...all aircraft do. And unless modified for aerobatics most aircraft can not fly upside down long enough to have a conversation. Not only that you would fall out of your seat, or feel your lap belt biting into your skin if you were hanging from it. Now he could have accidentally flown into the ocean in a very shallow dive if he was distracted..that's easy to do.
