Stop number 4 on our 6 country European road trip was the beautiful city of Bruges in Belgium. This is one of our favourite cities in Europe! We love its chilled vibes and friendly locals. It is a compact city so it is easy to explore on foot with the kids. The highlights were the boat tour and the chocolate.
Sometimes in historic cities such as Bruges getting around with a baby and a pram/stroller can be a worry, but the public transport and streets were pram / baby friendly. Bruges/Belgium locals were enthusiastic in welcoming kids, babies and families into their restaurants and shops! It is definitely a family friendly holiday / vacation destination.
We stayed on a campsite which was within waling distance of the city. Driving the motorhome in Belgium was a breeze compared to the narrow, busy and hectic roads in the UK.
We would definitely recommend a family holiday / vacation to Bruges to soak up some Belgian culture….and chocolate!
