I mean not really. It's a lot don't get me wrong but if they can hang on to the picks through '27 then I personally would be willing to pull the trigger. Offer Utah the players mentioned and Boston's '28 pick, SA's '29 pick, SA's 30 pick, and Dallas's '30 pick. The have to bet on themselves to be good by '29/'30. We know Boston is likely to still be good in '28 and unless Dallas loses Luka for nothing then they should be somewhere between competent and contender in 2030

As a Rocket's fan, I really think the Spurs should wait to see how big of a step Wemby takes this season. Everything might click and all of the sudden he's averaging 27-30 ppg this season. That kind of changes how you want to build the team going forward. They have so much flexibility right now and assests so they just hold firm. Unless it's an offer you can't refuse obviously

I needed a whole lot less than 5. It is interesting to think about if there is any way for these teams to fix this trade, but for some (like the Pelicans trade) there is no reason to do so. Yes, the Bulls want to get rid of Zach Lavine, obviously .. but the Warriors giving up multiple good players for someone who is at best a project? Hell no, that is not going to happen. Also the video creator mentions Brandon Ingram wants out .. I haven't heard that at all, he was always happy in NO. This is fans trying to either get him on their team or people trying to break up Zion and Ingram because they think it can't work. If he gets traded at all, it will be for a haul. Though I wouldn't hold it against the Pelicans if they still make a few good signs in free agency, since they freed up quite a bit of salary.

@@thedotmandoob People make a lot out of that single playoff series. 1. Ingram was just coming back from injury and sitll hobbled. Throughout his career he has had slower recovery after injury and takes some games to get back into rhythm. This series was his first games coming back. 2. Lu Dort, while a good defender, was extremely physical with him, which the refs allowed. Ingram does not show when he is fouled. Technically he got outplayed by Dort, but practically it was the refs that let them play this way, which was very hard to watch. In the series of OKC vs Luka, Dort played the same way, he was in foul trouble the whole series because Luka shows EVERY foul and can also just play through that shit. 3. If we look back at the 2022 season, the end of it, the play-in games and even the series against the Suns, Ingram was amazing there. He was fully healthy and played his ass off. It was his team that let him down there, but they still took the Suns to 6 games. Those Suns were considered one of the stronger teams which lost to the WC Finalist Mavs in the next round. I think we've seen one bad series and quite a bit of promising good play from Ingram, I'm biased but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in that he is at the very least a neutral playoff performer and at best a very good one.

yeah I think everyone’s now thinking the Spurs are about to go crazy and make a bunch of win now trades since they signed 40 year old Chris Paul to a cheap rental 1 year contract. the only reason they made that signing was to give veteran leadership to players like Stephon Castle, Victor, and Devin Vassel, as well as get good playmaking from Chris Paul for One Year before they use their 3 first round picks in the loaded 2025 draft to find a replacement. The Spurs are going to build this the Spurs way, weather fans like it or not.

The Pelicans do NOT need more “scoring firepower” Zion, CJ, Trey Murphy, and Dejounte Murray is more than enough scoring options Our offensive struggles are the result of poor playmaking and lineups which hopefully the Murray trade has fixed The real issue is the unaddressed center position It’s obvious that any Ingram trade will have to include a center More shooting could help but no center no deal

The Pelican's offense was good, but not spectacular. I would be more interested in trading CJ, whos value is at an absolute high coming off a very good shooting season, instead of trading Ingram, who's value is lower than what he actually brings to the court. Ingram has length and is a good defender and rebounder. I put the same thing in my post, if anybody gets traded, it would be for a really good center, not much else. There needs to be at least one modern plug and play center on this roster, preferably one that can defend the rim and shoot from 3, so the lane is more open for Zion. The Pelican's rookie center can maybe act as a backup if he's ready, or they bring back some trusty cheap option like Cody Zeller as a backup. I can see them starting Zion at 5 for stretches too, this would alleviate the shooting lack from that postition too, as Zion is the most threatening player on the roster that will for sure get defensive attention. I'm still a bit worried about their 5 spot, they just let both Naji and JV go basically for nothing and haven't signed anyone with their free agency money.

Not only are the Warriors giving up way too many good players for 1 project, the Bulls want to rebuild, so they need either a really young player or first round picks, preferably both, not giving up their own picks. These trades absolutely make no sense at all. It is wishful thinking stuff for one team, just to get one good player on a certain team. The only one I can see happen is the final one with Lauri going to the spurs and that is because of all the first round picks. He might even want out, as the Jazz aren't doing anything and getting to the Spurs to play with Wemby might be something he would like over staying with his current team. The Zach Lavine trade makes no sense because while Zach is a great scorer, I don't think they can afford to give up both Wiggins and Moody, let alone Looney and Payton II. Maybe Wiggings alone for the money is needed, but these are ALL rotation players. Moody is probably more valuable on his own as a young player that fits with any team, while Zach currently is more of a project you hope works out. If I were re-tooling the warriors and try to integrate Zach Lavine into the lineup, I would maybe try to offer Wiggins in a straight up swap .. but even that just feels wrong, as he at least is a great rotation piece that offers defense and a way more varied scoring package. Scoring a lot of points on a really bad team might look great on paper, but the Bulls were worse with him in the lineup for a reason, he can't defend, doesn't have a lot of playmaking and is basically only a shooter. Any new Warriors lineup I would go for would certainly include Moody, he is untouchable unless you get someone extremely enticing for him. The Brandon Ingram trade is the opposite in where the value lies, but it is equally bad in practice. In this case the starplayer is an actual great player. He offers a ton of playmaking, versatility in scoring and is even a good defender. Why would the Pelicans trade for Herro? He's a less good playmaker that can't defend well and offers a scoring package that is good, but certainly not better than Brandon Ingram. If they want to go for more youth, which is understandable, just offer CJ for him instead. CJ just came off his best shooting season of his career, so his value is probably also a bit higher than just Herro alone and some picks, but with Caleb Martin sweetening the deal, it could work out. Though, when I think about it, I don't think giving up CJ is something I would want to do, the team needs a great big, as the Pelicans have no center, so if they are to be giving up CJ, trade him for a very good center instead, not for someone that performs in the same role. If you're trying to make these trades, take a good look at what both teams want and then try to make that happen. For Lauri, it could make sense, he might even want out himself, but those other trades are just bad. I didn't even talk about the Trae Young trade, but if he was offered an equal amount it could work out and send the Hawks into rebuild themselves.

The Hawks just told the NBA they are Trae Young's team by trading Murray to New Orleans so to get Trae Young from the Hawks it would have to be a Paul George to the Clippers trade that would have to include lots of picks and have to include at least1 All-Star level player and Orlando doesn't have that to trade because the only 2 players that fall in that category are the two they won't trade so any big moves for Orlando are not possible. However with their cap room and history of helping rebuild a positive career from players the league has given up on why not take a chance and send 2 second round pics and Jett Howard to Brooklyn for Ben Simmons as long as he passes his Physical and is willing to play. His defense could help but only if they don't have to give anything of value to get him and I could see a 1st round pick or pick swap coming with him because of that massive contract.

If I’m the warriors screw going after Lauri they’re not gonna pull that off without throwing away kuminga and all their draft assets cmon it’s Danny ainge😂 just go after Lavine on a way lower asking price currently and find a way to get Vooch in the deal too.. ur telling me a 10 man rotation of Steph-Lavine-Kuminga-Draymond-Vooch and off the bench Podz-melton-Buddy-Kyle-TJD can’t compete?🤔🤔 Lavine and Vooch just need a motivating fresh start on a winning franchise/environment.. a 22-25ppg sg and a 18 n 10 stretch big is exactly what a desperate team like the warriors need to prolong Steph’s late prime chances.

I don’t get why teams sleep on Zach Lavine. While valuing value Paul George so much. He's 34 and injury prone. Zach is younger and makes less money. Yeah, he's also injury prone, but not like PG. He’s a easily 25, 5, 5 a night player.

Utah is in a race to the bottom for 2025 draft class. warriors and Sacramento are not going to finish worse than Utah but spurs could be considered a competing team with Utah for the bottom SO trading LMarkennen to the spurs makes it highly unlikely spurs will finish worse than Utah. If Utah keeps LMarkennen then Utah will win more games. Priority is on the 2025 draft above all other things.
