Thank you Lainey, I'm growing my hair after years of sporting a pixie hairstyle, my hair is now shoulder length and you've really helped me with your tutorials. Awe sorry to hear that! I’m happy I can help. I had trouble with the 3 strand braid too. I can’t believe it took me until 19 to figure out how to do 🙈😭
Beautiful! Thank you so much for these helpful examples. I've always wondered how to do a fishtail braid or a rope braid, and your instructions were very clear. Soooooo helpful!! Can't wait to give them a try.
EXCELLENT TUTORIAL - Thank you for taking the time and repeating through the entire process!
Recently I’ve gotten really good at French braiding and Dutch braiding but I came across a few of your videos that required fishtail braiding-I love it! I think that the braid is so cool-but I didn’t know how and was so relieved to find that you had a video on basic braids! I can’t wait to try both the fishtail and the four strand braid!! Thank you so much!
THANK YOU! You're such a great teacher! I've been able to do all but the 4-strand until this video. You explained it perfectly😁 Love all the styles you do, especially the braids.

Lainey, I absolutely love the Herringbone braid and the 4 strand braid also. I need to master the 4 strand but sometimes I get confused when I should be going over and under the hair. Thanks for explaining what sections of hair go under and over. This helps me a lot in my braiding technique.😀

I LOVE THIS THANK YOU SO MUCH NOW I KNOW HOW TO BRAID!!!
You are very patient and thorough and you don't whizz through like some I've watched. A wonderful teacher. I'm hoping to do my future daughter-in-law's hair for her wedding if my hands will let me (arthritis), or at least try out some styles to see what she most likes and would greatly appreciate some fancy loose up-do hairstyles and anything wedding-like. Your very explicit, slow and repetitive instructions are truly appreciated. Eloisa is from the Philippines and she has beautiful long, thick, straight black hair so any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Also any suggestions about products would also be appreciated. As I live in the UK, product types would probably be better than brand names. Hoping to see more of your videos. Many thanks.

If you search "laineymariebeauty updos" on youtube, you'll find a lot of detailed videos! I'm not sure what's available in the UK but my favorite brand is Redken!
This is exactly the kind of video that I would have been so grateful to find back when I didn't know how to braid at all!! Even though I already learned the basics through your other videos this is a great resource. 👍 💖 Also... same about the fishtail braid, I feel like my skills went up a level after I mastered that! One I use a lot is actually just a 3 strand dutch side braid. Once I realized you just cross the outer stands under the middle and it does a different look... game changer for me hehe 😁

Finally! I can braid my own hair when I go swimming and such, thank youuu! :-D
I've been combing the internet for a couple of hours looking for hairstyles for my hair that is in bad need of a haircut. These are by far the most realistic videos. I noticed you don't use any edits and you don't have any hair extensions that I can see. This is fantastic!

You are absolutely stunning, gorgeous. You glow girl ❤
Thanks! In the past I did an upside down 4 strand braid (tipped head forward braiding from the nape of neck to end but not close to head - away from head so there's a 'hole' to fold the end into). This left a loose braid up do. I've tried it recently and can't get t to work (it's been many years). If you can figure that out, I would love to see it. It was a favorite - my hair is long again so I want to try it. Thanks!
Thanks this was so helpful! Do you think these styles would still work with a middle part, or should you have more of a side part?
Thank you for this lovely video. Also, your shirt is beautiful!! Love it.

Beautiful braids, I saw on Instagram a video where they use a coke can the long skinny one, and they put a piece of hair and put it in the can. Hold it and use a blow dryer to heat it and you're supposed to get curls. This sounds interesting, I'd love to see you try it, since you like to curl your hair.

Ok... Second video of yours I've seen and I already love you! ROPE BRAID?! Never seen it. That's going to be a game changer for me. Ok now a tough question... You have beautiful straight hair. I have thick, curly hair. It's been really tough for me to do a regular 3 strand side braid (I always do it on the side, because it's pretty long). The issue is getting my hair in 3 equal sections, and then keeping those sections separate from each other. Any suggestions? And I'm subscribed to you now. Love this!! 💜

I could never understand how rope braids don’t unravel. I never had anyone tell me about the twist.
My rope braid always unravels if I twist the sections, but not if I just two strand braid, suggestions? You’re the first that I’ve found to mention unraveling…you’re the best! Quick question on another video as I don’t do Instagram, do you put anything on your face BEFORE you shave? Got my razors & new hair ties…love the ties…patiently waiting on your reply to try the face razors…thanks 💞
@LaineyMarieBeauty
Жыл бұрын
Rope braids definitely shouldn’t unravel! Just make sure your twisting your strand the same way each time and twist it tight! I do not use anything on my skin before the face razors. I do wash my face though before I use them. After I shave, I’ll use my a face moisturizer! I love that you bought them! That’s one of my favorite things to do is sit in front my mirror and give my self some self care 😆💗☺️

Today I finally did it! It took me awhile to figure out that I wasn’t twisting each section in same direction. It finally clicked. I never gave up. ❤
Is there a variation of the fishtail braid?
Are all these braids side braids? How do they look from the back?
