A good friend of mine recently uncovered this video from his archive! This video was taken on October 2nd, 2013 by him, and is the best recording of this specific siren I have seen. This was one of the last tests of this siren before it was replaced with a Whelen Vortex R4 on the corner of the school. Please go check out his KZread channels above!
This siren was originally on top of Field Community School in south Minneapolis. As of August 2017, I now own this siren and hope to restore it back to its original state sometime in the near future.

The Vortexes can't match the sound and eeriness of the old system of these they got more activations then the current Vortexes for Tornado Warnings but recently the Vortexes were activated for a Tornado Warning on August 14th and surprised John did not get a video of them going off

That Thunderbolt is so loud
This is what the 4/5 Tbolt in LeRoy MN is supposed to sound like. Same chopper level. But unfortunately it has bad pitch issues and a weak rotator.

Nice video Plus JPa311979 didn't record this in years yet but he miss this one.
That will be awsome if you put this thing back up. Maybe you can donate the siren to a small town. You know These sirens are incredibly rare.

@@LilThomas2010 Depends on which unit it is, most thunderbolt units aren't dying and neither was this one. It's just townships and county's choosing new battery backup sirens over these.
