Flash Flood Emergency was issued for Groveton, TX after an intense thunderstorm dropped close to a foot of rain requiring swift water rescues. Homes, businesses flooded. The powerful storm knocked out power to the town, knocked down trees. SOTs with those involved with water rescues.

These are volunteers not paid firemen. Check yourself. It’s their calling, they have other full time jobs they go to after staying up all night helping their community.

Thank you for getting those trees out of the way. We were in the green kia behind the firetruck and God saw us through it. It was a miracle. My car was underwater and backed up to let the firetruck back up after ya'll rescued the man and lady from the car that was doing underwater at the bridge. Praise Jesus for protecting us.

Not to be mean but are these drivers thru high water short on brain cells and don’t heed the “Turn around don’t drown” warnings. Do they have a death wish? People like this put our first responders in danger. If the water is above the tires then don’t drive in it.

The downed tree had cars waiting for up to 2 hrs so those several cars in front were trapped and never thought they would be in that situation. If you listened to the interview it was just a bad situation with the creek and tree at the same place. So it was not as simple as what you make it out to be.
