I just found this Saturday night 4/26/2024. I'm a surfer from Jacksonville Florida. Home of Lynyrd Skynyrd , Molly Hatchet, 38 Special , Blackfoot , the Johhny VanZant Band and yes...the Allman Brothers formed while living in Jacksonville's Riverside along the St.Johns river before leaving town for Macon Georgia. Back in the day , before the Jags , Jacksonville was a mecca forRock n Roll and NWA Championship Wrestling .The Good Ole Days...Good Times...Damn Good Times !!!
End of an amazing era. Goodbye Dickie, thanks for the memories!
My heart broke when I heard Dickie passed yesterday. RIP Mr. Betts, thank you.

Billy Strings played Saint Augustine Fl. To a sold out house on 4/20 and put on a brilliant tribute to Dickie. Was Amazing! Dickie will be missed. 😎🤙 Aloha from the east coast bro. Last time I surfed Blacks was 2019,gotta get back out west soon! Yeew!
My Brother in law and my Sister lived in Lakeside for 4 years in the Navy. I love San Diego and Southern California. I even drove their car to them from Jacksonville . That was fun !
Two months ago Outlaws, now Allman Brothers and 4’ fun Blacks. Good on you Blae. Hopefully you’re honoring the passing of Dickey Betts who died today🙏🏼 I saw the AB Band in 1974 in the San Diego Sports Arena. Amazing night it was.
