4'11 Chase Adams has Better Handles Than You! Top Chicago 7th Grader Official Ballislife Mixtape.
When asked about his size, Chase Adams said "the height stuff doesn't mean anything."
Chase Adams (12 years old in the video) had as big a 7th grade season at Chicago's Ariel Elementary Community Academy (Public school) as any player in the city.
As a 7th grader, Adams led Ariel's 8th grade team (not previously known for its basketball team) to a 56-3 record in Chicago's Public League alongside fellow star Marquise "Kezo" Brown. No stats were kept at Ariel, but Chase seemed close to a double double (points/assists) whenever we were watching. Now, as an 8th grader, Adams and Brown will be looking to win the City 8th grade Championship.
Currently 5 feet tall (at the start of 8th grade), weighing about 100 pounds, Adams is the quickest guard in Chicago and is widely considered one of the nation's top players in the Class of 2018. Some young players might be surprised to learn Chase's all-time favorite player is Bob Cousy (Boston Celtics 1950-63). Also, modeling his game after his favorite current point guards Chris Paul, Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo, Adams is poised for success. Not only does Adams model his game after the NBA's top young PG's, he draws inspiration from the way they continue to prove their doubters wrong.
Here are some Chase Adams basketball highlights from Chicago public school Ariel Elementary Community Academy's 2012-2013 season as well as from the Mac Irvin Fire 13U AAU team. Thanks to the players and coaches at Ariel and with the Mac Irvin Fire!

Man for real. I used to go and hoop every day from 10 up until about 19-20. Fall workouts at school, winter season, Spring Playoffs/start of AAU, then AAU all summer and back to Fall workouts. That was life for me from 4th grade up until my Junior year. Kinda fell outta love with the game my Senior year from burnout but I was back in it at 19. Then work and college fully took over. Every time the weather is good I go and pull my old rim out at my parents house and put up some shots like old times but I haven't ran 5s in forever. I need to get back to my roots for real. I used to spend hours watching random Ballislife, Hoopmixtape mixes. Trying to add new moves to my bag and shit. .Good times.

I would NOT make this kid lift weights. At this point in his development push-ups and squats and calf raises (weightless) are more than enough at this point. Don't want to stunt his growth his skill level is incredible once he fills out physically who knows how great he could be.

Daniel Zimmerman Yeah, I mean sure if he goes balls out bodybuilder mode mostly doing isolation exercises and going for the same sets & reps etc. I'm not a doctor but I would guess it could affect possibly on his growth, but if he would train like an athlete from the get-go I dont think he would have any issues.

This kid just keeps giving them (in Chris Smoove's words) the crossover, behind the back, between the legs cheese. LOL

Anyone else watch this and think, Why do I watch this all the time
So inspiring. I'm his height but I'm in 8th grade. I know this was posted in 203 but it is still inspiring that he can still shoot lay ups and not get blocked by those big kids.

Ty Aj Right. He's probably the next Muggsy, because he's real short
He is going to be that 5 foot tall Michael Jordan haha
Remember watching this from 4th grade😭
2022 still gotta watch this wow bro dead boutta make the A😤😤😤😤💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Being small is such a disadvantage... its not just others are bigger than you.. you have shorter legs, shorter arms, smaller body, smaller hands... its so difficult to handle the ball with small hands. You cant even grip it.. his handles only show his skill level is above others in his age.. RESPECT.
"the height stuff doesnt mean anything." years later and onto college, chase adams remained at 4'11.

Chicago has the best ballers!
wow this guy is a beast!
This kid is nice, I remember seeing him at Phenom camp. Another underrated prospect I saw there was Mark Shehady from Western PA. Check out his IA elites mix tape and scouts focus highlights. If colleges need someone that can shoot and handle the ball this is your guy. Also look for PAelitemixtapes starting mix tapes of some of the top talent in PA including Gibbs Kanyongo (2018), Alex Nichols (2017), A.J. (2018), and many more.
The end though he was about fight.
I'm 4'11 too! When my friend Shaun and I were playing basketball 1v1 I broke his ankles. He is 5'7 and then I did a half court to finish the game. i won and Shaun is one of the best players!
I used to watch this vid before every game in middle school 😂😂
