I think it would be better to put the tank on the back. While they have a lot of health, they don't gain as much value being in the front as other ww2 units like shotgunner who get more accurate the closer the enemies are allowing them to have less stray shots and dish out more damage

That tactic won't work and it will let the us army lose because the TANKs are supposed to take most of the damage in most of the battle. Putting them in the back is just gonna be a total loss for us army because once the infantry is dead the tanks get to tank the damage but it won't help either because the firepower is gone (reduced to atoms).

@@johnpauljones9310 then might as well put the tanks on the doors, I mean logic doesn't apply in uebs2 they can shoot through each other the soldiers must detect zombies to shoot while the tank blocks the entrance

I disagree with Holy G. Why protect your most heavily protected units with weaker protected units? You need to keep your weaker units who have high firepower alive longer. You can fix Holy's complaint by putting the shotgunners a lot closer to the back of the tanks instead of having a gap between them. Additionally, you can reduce the frontal line length by tightly packing the units closer to the center and lessen the gap between the rows and the gaps between the tanks. This will reduce the number of zombies in actual contact with the front which will reduce their damage rate per minute. They only do damage when in contact where ranged units are always doing damage regardless of contact. So reducing the frontage reduces the number of concurrent zombies and reduces the damage per time unit.

I agree and raise you that the tanks seemed to have too little depression (couldn't get their guns down enough) to effectively even shoot at the Z-Horde! They seem to flail around their barrels uselessly :(

A dozen nukes should do the work nicely. More efficient.

Do you think if there were troops or tanks in the castle it would have played out differently? I think the bottle necks would have been beneficial for troops or tanks to aim at and use since they climb the walls. Would love to see this same battle again with different troop and tank positioning.

Can you imagine being that last soldier who survived on the rocks surrounded by a sea of ghouls?

A good idea for a video. Same number of troops but different arrangement to see what is most effective. Ie run the battle back with tanks at the back instead of the front or move the shotguns closer as they are move effective at close range.

That’s probably the first time the zombies have won for a while

I saw in another video where the Red coats beat US army hands down (although there were slightly more red coats than the US, not sure it was shotgun or machine gun). Thought it was incredulous. Can you please run a battle of equal numbers of Red coat vs US army? Thanks.

Almost like the Alamo when the troops were down to only a couple hundred. They stood no chance. Still was interesting to see who was going to be the victor when troops still had 4-5000 men. Thought it was going to be even

Many of them were WW2 troops, and some, presumably, were tanks.

Love the fact that body’s are left to pile up. Watch them mound’s of body’s rise.

I never cease to be disappointed by these simulations that have about as much strategic use of fortification as a child playing with sand castles. Where are the elevated platforms that the defenders use to their advantage? Why are the only 'walls' made to flesh?!

Who put this together, the same guy who designed the tactics for Game of Thrones big battle? Why aren't the tanks moving, crushing zombies as they fire off shotgun rounds from their big guns. And by the way how does any amount of zombies harm a tank? And hey, maybe put more people up behind the walls instead of out in the open?

I thought the human would win, but I was wrong. Putting the tank before is the best way to slow down the zombie wave. However, it's not enough. If you can replace the units in the back with long-range shooting units so that all teams can join the battle from the beginning, the result would be an advantage for humans winning.

The castle is semi useless as there are too many openings but i think i could be used strategically.

Elite Medieval army that has giant Trolls against giant zombie army or army of equal quality ?

Try place your units into triangles instead of straight lines. This way you have more front units to maximize firepower, than a sqaure.

I thought the same, this video is ridicoulous also for not using the castle as protection and the obvious ammo problem. In the walking dead they also use a lot of static barriers with spikes so that zombies can kill themselves or at least be blocked

Yeah it's stacked against the soldiers as bullets don't kill 2 to 4 in one shot and if 100 guys shoot at one zombie one hits and the other 99 disappear

I would put the tanks up front in a “V” formation allowing for a small gap for zombies to get thru. Like an hourglass with thousands of grains of sand, but only allow a few to pass at a time. The tanks can thin the herd of advancing zombies. And infantry can pick off the ones going thru the “choke point” instead of getting overwhelmed at the front. Most of these videos have the weakest up front, which is a complete disaster because they quickly get overwhelmed. Creating a “controlled choke point” will reduce initial exposure of infantry by 10 to 1, or better. The longer your infantry last, the better your chances are. Killing off your weaker troops initially by overwhelming them will certainly lead to failure.

So why would you have troops on a declining slope firing up the slope to an oncoming enemy. The zombie have the higher ground as soon as they pass the tanks. There should also be troops firing from the walls and towers of the base.

Why is the tank company standing close to the soldiers instead of ahead? Zombies don't die with a single shot, so the tank division will be 200*300 meters ahead and shoot back slowly.
