Alexis is so polished. You really can't find a fault on her appearance or the way she holds herself.

Joan Collins make-up is Flawless in this scene and she is definitely wearing that hat!!!!!!!! That dress and coat are soooooooo good on her!!!!!!!!!! Dynasty had some of the best hair, make-up, and costume designers in the industry during this time!!!!!!!!!!!

Linda’s makeup was absolutely perfect and stunning 🤩

The burgundy outfit, purple eye shadow and ruby ring, perfectly exquisite ensemble.

they act really well in scenes with just them, and to be honest, Hilda in this was good too.

Joan Collins was the best cast member for me on Dynasty and she was always the best how she wears her outfit and make-up.

That *veiled hat* emphasizes her wealth and demeaner!!!! Love it! 💕 Veiled hats should have never gone out of style... They make you look rich even if you aren't and make you look contrite in court! No one rocked one the way Joan did!!!!! Thanks for posting!

The outfit is just SENSATIONAL. One of the best on the show for its entire run! And look at the stark colours of Alexis's makeup, it's like warpaint! One of the most powerful examples of fashion being used to convey character and motivation since Scarlett turned up at Ashley's birthday party in that devastating red gown in 'Gone With the Wind'!

Hated her overbite.

I love the contrast between Alexis and Krystle here. Krystle is soft-spoken and methodical in her shade, her face hardly painted, while Alexis is BEAT to the highest of snatchocity, her voice and mannerisms a bit more excitable and animated.

Alexis is a sterling example of Glamour !!!

Yeah but there not really at all the same. The shows not really anything like this, and I mean that in a good way. If they tried to act like this the show wouldn't be as good. its a more modern version, and the characters I not really the same. Maybe Blake but other than that its not the same at all really. So I find it unfair to compare them, especially when reboots are never as good. I find the new one rather interesting, their new takes on characters is intriguing and rather entertaining. So please dont compare them, and give them each an equal chance as if they are their own.

...Alexis looking as clean as the board of health. My Grandma used to dress like that back in 19__!!! The burgundy wool suit, the matching hat, the silver fox fling...very early 80's and very chic.

It was always delicious when Krystle got an opportunity to rattle Alexis' cage a little. But, man, Alexis and that brilliant outfit, hat, makeup, fur, and jewels ... the ultimate. Glamour with a capital G. And a lot of the fun here is that Krystle is one person in Alexis' orbit who has the villainess figured out, and Alexis is supremely vexed by that (although she tries not to show it). So good.

In the 1980s, simply wearing a hat wasn’t enough; your hat had to have a veil, or feathers, or flower or some other decorative element for that extra pizzazz. Today, people treat ‘conservative’ as a bad word, but Alexis’ look was conservative. Conservative doesn’t mean boring. You don’t have to look like a stripper to be sexy and cool. People have forgotten that.

How I miss the 1980’s!

Why is the quality so great and when you buy the DVD collection you are utterly disappointed.... at least here in Germany....

Always a distinct pleasure whenever these two ladies had a moment alone together; so cool that we can enjoy their catty exchanges here on KZread. Half the time, Krystal would get the last word or she would make a droll little insult .... such a hoot. The show had great outfits by Nolan Miller-- eye catching glamorous finery. The hats alone were often scene-stealers. I actually prefer a scene like this, with some nuance and a touch of comedy, to the classic physical brawls (but admittedly they were huge fun, especially that battle in the lily pond).

The sound of the bottle of champagne being opened always makes me laugh so hard !

I loved S2-S4 of Dynasty with these two ramming into each other on the regular like well-dressed tanks. Never knew which one was going to walk away with the win. Krystle didn't just touch a nerve here, she ripped Alexis' spine out and used it to slap the presumptuous smugness right off her face!
