The honor, strength, discipline, fighting warrior spirit seem to make these men, and women very special ! They know when they go in, it's no picnic, then I see so many want to be part of the toughest fighting men the Marines can make! Being a VERY old female I DON'T understand, but I sure am glad so many feel that way about keeping America not only FREE, BUT HANDS DOWN THE GREATEST COUNTRY EVER!! THANK YOU ALL!

We started this back in 2011/2012 I was in the first challenge we have done and afterwards we had a zodiac full of ice and beer with a pig roasting and a pig head on a stake at the bottom of the boat ramp down from the CP I still have pictures of that day...camp schwab sure has changed since I was with 3rd recon

Just so you know, if you get a recon contract and then wash out, you're needs of the Corps. I know a few people who went infantry and then eventually took their shot at recon.

Don’t do it , I know plenty of recon contracts who washed out and ended up with some random ass job

Just go damn infantry first. You don't even know if you will like that kind of job.

Fuck these guys, they'll never amount to anything like what you're shooting for. I'm trying to get a PJ contract right now, so I know the struggle. Just keep your eyes on the goal, and never let go of your drive to reach it.

@@jerrymccormick7018 the problem is that what happens if you do get washed out? Sure you have the chance of not quitting but that chance is very low. You always hear about how the Navy SEAL's BUDS course has a huge chunk of people quitting and the reason is because most of those people are just 18 year old kids who have not experienced much. It would be more beneficial to do something like what you want and then possibly becoming Recon / a PJ later because if you fail you basically just get handed an open contract. Of course pursue your dreams and if you think you can do it then do it but it might be smarter to take the longer route but that is up to him and you
