    Awesome walkaround! I have an '02 and absolutely love it. Probably spent 200 nights camping in it over the last 3 years. Think I'm heading towards some nitto's so glad to hear you like 'em! Cheers! (Also, kudos for actually showing what you carry in the drawers. I feel like KZread is full of just build videos, but it's equally as helpful to see what people carry.) happy adventures from Oregon!

    Thank you so much and stoked to hear you love your 3rd Gen just as much! Nittos have been AWESOME. Let me know if there is anything else you’d like me to make a video on! 💯

    That's a sweet rig! One thing you might consider is gusseting the receiver where your hitch mounted swing out attaches. The reason is that receiver hitches are designed for linear loads, not rotational forces and so, over time the constant vibrating and bouncing of the spare tire (a big, heavy weight at the end of a long lever) will cause the area around the receiver to crack. Thanks for making this post!

    Thanks! Those headlights hit the garbage can. Not sure if you knew about the drama surrounding BXBuilt, but my passenger light eventually failed and I couldn't get any replacement parts for it; everything was so epoxied over, I couldn't find what chips I needed to replace in the drivers. Junked and swapped in a set of stock housings/halogens and haven't looked back.

    Beautiful rig, my dude. I absolutely love the compact size of the 3rd gen. Have you ever thought of getting the fuel expansion tank that goes where the spare tire used to hang?

  • @MyOverlandRig

    Thank you, man! 3rd gen will squeeze through trails. It's really a great size/design. I kicked around the idea of a long range tank, but, it adds more weight in the rear, etc. Plus, I'd have to fill it up. $$$ haha Just keeping it as is.

    Does the drawer system in the trunk still allow you to use the second row seats? I like the setup but just don’t know if I’d still be able to use it as my daily driver if I can’t use the 2nd row.

  • @MyOverlandRig

    @MyOverlandRig

    Yep, second row of seats is still usable. The platform lays on top of the seats when folded down. Take the platform out in a few seconds, fold the seats back up, and you’re set! @solidwoodworx has is nailed.
