3RD Gen Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - Six Speed Road Thrash Special!
/ autoedits_jason
A simple morning drive featuring a 1982 Camaro Z28 with a few mechanical updates. This car was built to be driven and I do... a lot.
Here's a list of some of the additions:
Baer T4 Cross drilled and slotted brakes
baer.com/1982-1992-F-Body-Cama...
GM Performance 290 HP 350 c.i. crate engine
Hotchkis Suspension
Flowmaster 3" exhaust
Koni adjustable shocks
2002 Standard Corvette Rims
Flaming River quick ratio steering box and leather wheel
OMP racing seats
6 point mild steel cage
6 Speed manual transmission built by Hanlon Motorsports
...and the seriously sweet Alpine cassette stereo from the 80's!

I've watched this video so many times. Still one of the best Thirdgen videos on KZread
I love 80s Camaros . They dont always get the love they deserve.
What a classic vid. Watch it every now and then to get pumped on third gens
I remember watching this when it came out and had a 89 third gen. Crazy I was 25 going on 35. How time flies
Love 3rd gens
if it rattles your radio isnt loud enough..... or its too loud!! either way...
I have a 1988 iroc-z and only pay $40 a month for full coverage at State Farm
Amen on the t-tops
watched this video a million times bc 1) I love 3rd gens and 2) I'm building mine so I get amped up lol
I am definitely a mustang guy, but I respect this car, and would drive the shit out of it.
I watched this video back in my college days and fell in love with 3rd gens. I've now had my 92 Camaro for 9 years.
I love everything about your camaro. Mine is still on jackstands
The Hotchkis springs are a very happy medium for comfort and sport.
these cars are underrated! They definitely deserve more respect than what is given to them! Anyone that ever rode in mine even the hard-core mustang guys have been surprised at the all around performance of the 3rd Gen f-bodies
8 years later and I love this car still, Ive based this car to build my own off of for the last 4 years. I did qa1 suspension all around and just put in a simple 327 that screams up to 8750!
I've owned 6 Camaros over the last 40 years or so. As an eight year old I remember seeing my first Camaro in '68, at that point I knew that was the car I was going to drive someday. The first one I wanted, a butternut yellow with black vinyl top '67 in '75, didn't get it by the way. My first was actually a '74 LT I bought in '77. From then on I was hooked. I got my first brand new Camaro in '83, I ordered an '84 Z28 from a local dealer. They didn't have one I liked on the lot. It was a charcoal gray metallic, gray interior, 5.0 liter, 190 HP, 5 speed, JL8 4 wheel disc, posi rear beast. After 5 long agonizing weeks I got the call it was in. I went and picked it up, drove to the nearest gas station, it only had about enough gas to get there not the 30 miles to get it home, no full tanks back then. I hit the open highway rowing through the gears, shifting from 2nd to 3rd I already had the speedo buried, 85 mph back then, I knew this car was going to be fun to drive. :)
People always focus on hp numbers, but never stop to consider how much torque these old motors cranked out. Almost always 80-100lbs of tq more than hp. So i would be willing to bet that this particular iroc is making close to 400lbs tq, probably 370-390lbs tq. Lots of fun.
This video has some of the best footage and presentation Ive ever seen. The third gen world loves this.
definitely the best looking early model Camaro
Bad Ass 3RD GEN!
