--- Iceland, Norway, and Russia supply most of the global Atlantic Cod, with 240,000 metric tonnes harvested, but annual catch numbers have declined since 2017. The 2024 global forecast for Atlantic Cod catches is 791,000 metric tonnes, down from 921,000 in 2023 and 1.08 million in 2022, showing a continued supply reduction. Norwegian Cod prices in China rose to $6,000-$7,000 per metric tonne from $4,700 last year, with a widening gap with Russian Cod, which is banned in the USA, and limited inventory causing uncertainty.
