The failure point on the X3 pro isn’t the pressure reducer, it’s the quick connect. The seals are not reliable, any damage to the quick connect on the bottle or dust and debris introduced into the connection port causes O ring failures. Twice during operations in my personal experience, the O ring has failed well before the air enters the redundant pressure reducer. Granted there are zero identified failures of the Scott pressure reduction system, however what are the identified failures for competitor systems? This is a system introduced in 1976 in Scott packs, many technologies have improved since 1976.
