I remember a tool I was using in 3DS that would do that automatically, it was called trellis if I remember correctly. I was looking for the same in Maya. This method might be applicable but that's a bit painful.

los pasos son bastante fáciles de seguir, por lo tanto no hay necesidad de que hable! si no le sirve o no lo entiende busque otro vídeo, pero no hay necesidad de ser grosero.
