    Great tutorial!! May I ask why you didn't use ShapeMerge to project the splines into the plane in one go rather than slicing them one by one. I am sure there is a reason you didn't do that. If you can briefly explain it would help. Thank you again for the tutorial!!

    Thank you, ShapeMerge creates some messy vertices that need to be cleaned up and doesn't give me exactly the desired result.

    This method is specific to this shape, but other shapes can be create with this method with a little calculation

    Thanks. Yes, I deleted it, that form is only used for skin wrap modifier.

    The object is isolated (Alt + Q). Convert it to editable poly and delete the other

    We use them to cut the plan in the right place, delete them after cutting.

    this is why i can't use 3ds max coming from rhino...it's just eyeballing everything and never a correct value. drives me crazy. the snap funtion i also effed up. this is why i model in rhino and render in 3ds max. great video nonetheless
