The two hardest things to do is not rambling on and repeating myself and I have to clean it all up and chop it all down in editing. The other is getting adventurous with editing, I am new and trying to add a little more here and there but since I don't know much about the ins and out of shortcuts and what does what it prevents me from trying new things. I just want to get it edited and uploaded usually. Your tips and tricks' have helped out a lot and has made the video editing easier and less daunting.

Amazed at just how far editing programs have evolved in the last ten years! I stopped doing video work almost 9 years ago, and I remember trying to use the low end version of Vegas, that didn't have tracking, to try and fake the final with this type of text effect. I would move frame to frame, eyeballing slight camera movements, then nudging the text on the X, y, and z axises, all in a futile attempt to get this cool effect in the cheapo version of Vegas. I came close several times, but it was always 'off' just enough to kill the effect.

I am looking to do this effect - in a pan up - and I'm struggling to attach any effects to the Text 3d Node. I was hoping to create a subtle mirror effect in the pan up on my video to somewhat blend into the horizon / blue sky. Long story short I'm still learning Davinci and don't fully understand the connective tissue into customising an advanced 3d effect like this. Hope that makes sense. Would be happy to provide images etc.

Hey Billy! Thank you for this video. It's wonderful! I was wondering if there's a way to add 2D text with the camera tracker. I'm using a specific aesthetic for a video that I'm having trouble achieving with the 3D text, and the regular planar tracker isn't doing nearly as good of a job as the camera tracker is. Also, some of my shots have a lot of camera movement, and I keep getting a notification from the camera tracker that I don't have enough tracks in common between consecutive frames. Is there a way around this, or is the shot un-trackable? Thanks again!

Biggest struggle as a content creator? I look at my script/outline way too much and I see it in the end product a lot more than I want to. I tried using my laptop as a teleprompter but I also need it in front of me at the same time so I scrapped the prompter and just glance down. I've been trying to be more general and rehearse a little more and that helped because I can pause and look down, then cut that portion of the video out or cut to something else for a few seconds and mask my glances but I still end up doing it on camera too much. Your channel and a few others have helped me so much though. I don't do a ton of fancy editing but following along with stuff like this helps me practice my basic skills too and that has helped improve my editing skills very quickly.

My biggest struggle in content creating is, when I make guides or commentary videos, since I'm not a native speaker I find hard, and takes so much time, but on the other had I like making guides, because happy to see the people are interested in it. My current method to make the video 1st, then summarize in bulletpoints what I want to say, then record my voice to cover the video. Any advice how could I be better in this, or any other good method? Thanks the answers in advance!
