Hope you guys enjoy the video! One thing to note: a bug in Inkscape sometimes causes the path effects dropdown to be blank when a clone is selected. To get around this, first create a random shape, like a rectangle, and the dropdown should work for it. Then delete the shape, select the clone again, and the dropdown should magically start working for it.

I tried copying along using the "Danube" font but when I used the slice effect the other half of the black line text disappears for sone reason and it only reapperas when moving to a specific angle

3:33 Crtl + Alt + D is not working for me. I am on Linux. Changed the preferences "Duplicate and Transform" keyboard shortcut. But the shortcut duplicates the transform one time only and then it seems shortcut stops working.

For me - I can't open do on 1:42 move. When I select a clone then I can't open option 'clone original". Hmm, why? I try to learn frok your video, but something don't work for me.

It's a bug. You just have to add another path effect to it, or just choose Clone Original from the list. Then the Clone Original settings should be available.
