As a Creator myself I can imagine the time and frustration that can go into project like this. There is no better feeling than hitting the finish line. Great job man!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun, and I learned a ton as well!
"You got the touch ... You got the power" The soundtrack was by far the strongest part of that movie.
I LOVE the old Transformers. Even thought that I was before that time but I watched it with my dad! Lol
Bob, that was so epic! I bet the more you make the further and further back you'll be able to think in the process and make some really cool mounting and assembly features into the mold. Look forward to watching your 3D journey!
Duuude! That intermission "m" is AWESOME!

Thanks Bob! thank you for embracing your inner geek and showing us all that we can do the same. Loving the He-Man Sword too.
You made a mistake in this video. You said the pieces needed to be primed and that was wrong. They needed to be OPTIMUS-PRIMED!

LOL. I love the Transformers transitions.
3D printing does take a long, long time. My printers been printing pieces for Solaire's Shield (from Dark Souls) for about 134 hours at this point, with plenty more to go. Filler primer is amazing, the trick is definitely many light coats with sanding between each coat.

Home run Bob!! I'm a huge Transformers nerd too, and this project totally brought the kid out in me!! It turned out so good too, excellent work!
I was so happy when I found out what you were making. I watched that movie a million times when I was a kid. Hopefully I can get my hands on one of those. Great job Bob!
Your recent project trips down memory lane are a fantastic jolt of nostalgia for a kid who grew up in the 80s as well. Always look forward to each weeks video and continually get inspiration from you! Thank you!

Thanks so much Rhett! It's been a lot of fun to do some of these projects from my childhood. More to come in time :)
Man that is so cool, takes me back. I can imagine the geek out moments when seeing it come together. Great job!
Damn Bob this was awesome. It looked like a lot of work but it was totally worth it. You got me right in the nostalgia. Now I have to go watch the movie.

Bob, you've outdone yourself! This is so cool!
Great project and video Bob! Your powers of creation continue to impress and entertain me...
Nice job, Bob! The glowing orb looks so awesome. All of your hard work is paying off, keep up the awesome work!
Looks awesome! Thanks for the tip about the paint and squeezing it together to get it to line up, so simple but never would have thought of that!
That transformers classic transition was so cool
I like how this guy takes an idea and than bring it to life. This is an extremely badass prop!
Completely floored by the quality of this prop and its accuracy, Bob. Incredible and impressive!

Really cool project! The finished prop looks so good.
I really love that you explain what you would have done different if done again. Keep it up!
Very cool Bob! Like the mix of electronics with your builds!!!

Once as a kid, I went to the movies with my mom and brother. We were seeing some movie that mom wanted to see. I told mom I was going to the restroom, and instead snuck for a moment into the theater where Transformers was playing. I walked in just in time to see Optimus Prime's death scene. Like every other young boy, Optimus was my favorite. I walked out of that theater a shell of the child that walked in. Eyes wide open, heart racing, mind blown. It was some time before I saw the entire movie for the context and the rest of the story. Now I've watched the movie countless times with my young son. I'm still a fan of the G1 transformers. Thank you - your prop and video are VERY cool.

+Mikey Makey ha, that's an awesome story! I bet that was rough as a kid though. I remember how much that moment caught me off guard.
this is so awesome bob!! it's so cool you're doing something from you're childhood, it's always important to remember where you came from
That transition with your logo and the transformers logo made my day.
i seriously want to buy this from you.i was geeking out the whole time watching you make this
this looks so good!! those transitions were bomb and i really liked how it turned out
Super cool Bob. Love the projects you put out.
Bob, this brought back SO many memories. I loved that movie. I would have loved to get the 3D files to print one for myself.
I love this project. You used multiple disciplines of making and I can see many of the things you made being done with techniques and materials from previous build videos. Also, I'm a geek too.
Good work! The accuracy is so amazing!! I love it!! Nice job Bob!!
This is really a great project, and thanks for your down-to-earth approach!

Cool stuff! Thanks for an interesting insight into 3D modeling, printing and finishing process. I used to have problems with precise elements when 3D printing. In addition my choice of filament didn't undergo sanding well.
Well done! As you said 3d-printing is so much more than just pressing print. Learning the skill of modelling is very empowering!
I learned a lot about adhesives from this video 😁 Would love to see a video on your experience with various glues, etc.! Thanks for making great content!
That brings back a few memories. Cool prop!
"It actually turned out better than I expected" We get it Bob, you are a a God
The transition scenes with your logo "transformerized" were freaking amazing!
you know it's gonna be a great day when Bob posts a video :-)
Awesome project! As a fellow transformers fan, that matrix of leadership is brilliant and great work on the vid - the transitions were great fun!
Awesome. enjoying the props you are making.
WOW. This turned out amazing.
Wow, the amount of work that went into this project is.... more than meets the eye!

I just got that Transformers movie release in the mail the other day. So much awesome. This came out really amazing. I want one, although I reckon I'll need a 3D printer first lol
You can't believe how helpful and how much I learned with that project. Thanks a lot! Keep up with the good work!

That's great to hear!! Thank you!
That's sweet, Bob! I remember going to see the original animated Transformers movie at the theater in 1986 with my dad and brother. Cool stuff!
Bob, this came out really well. You put a lot of effort into post processing of the printed parts, and it shows. Seeing the back panels of unfinished material indicates that your printer settings are not quiet right, there should not be any skipped lines along the perimeter and the top surface should be clean and finished. If you dial in the printer settings, the parts will come of a lot cleaner of the printer and will need much less post processing. If you tune it right, you can get super smooth parts of the bed, which require next to no post processing. Fusion is awesome! You're going to love using it. It's also great for modeling complex moving parts before fabricating them, you can model the motion and save time later.
That looks really good.
love the transformers animation too. project is as usual great
I have to admit it, the firts video i saw was the one with the secret door-bookcase, and i was like "meeh", but i have a really big admiration for how you were getting better and better and more and more skillfull with the time, you really are an inspiration for all of us, thanks for it and keep up with the good work. (sorry bad english not my native lang.)
That transition was so cool!
wow looks amazing . nice job
I want one so bad!!! You did a amazing job!!!!!keep up the awsome work!!!!and of course I subbed to the channel...you have some of the best content!!!keep up the great work!!!
Nicely done! good note on 3D printing and the misconceptions of how the process works by the way - it's much harder than most people think. keep up the good work :)
This is AWESOME! I especially liked the video transitions :-)
Great job! Thanks for communicating what 3D printing really is, not just hitting the EASY button. One thing I like for post-processing of 3D printed models is acetone. If you get it right you can make your model shine without altering any dimensions. If you get it wrong you'll have just a puddle of plastic. Could use it for glued joints as well if the filaments are of the same color.
That thing just looks awesome, great job! :D
Wow, that looks so good.
Very cool build !!! You are slowly convincing me to try some 3D printing myself ;)

Fantastic project Bob! Thank you!
Man you brought back so many great childhood memories ;-) thanks!
So cool ! Love when you use "new tech" like 3D modeling and printing rather than wood. And also so cool to watch that you are using your own tools like the paint booth :)
I have few toy versions from my older transformer toys, and even have one that opens. The part of the movie when Hot Rod becomes Rodimus Prime was my favourite scene. This turned out great.
So cool!! Nice work Bob
It's great to have been apart of the creation of this via the live streams
Sweet prop Bob!
Great Job! It looks fantastic! Now Transform and Roll Out!
Great video, always interesting and inspiring ! 👌🏼
It came out great!

Its a good point you make about the button press. I see a 3d printer as another tool, like a CNC or saw. You can use them in every project when you get your head around additive manufacturing vs traditional
That is EPIC! And the transitions. I grinned when I saw 'em.
