3D printer made with 3D printer: Unique Delta Robot for $ 300
Ғылым және технология
This video will shed some light on the history behind Delta robot and 3D printers based on it. Also, I’ll talk a little about my projects, discuss pros and cons of such printers. Later on the channel I'll upload a series of detailed videos on assembly and setup of such a printer, using my second project as an example. Be sure to leave a comment and also tell us what you think about these printers =)

Fantastic video. Without rails or linear guides, mechanically, they're beautiful. I really appreciate your explanations!
This is the history of delta 3d printers that I didn't know that I needed. Great!
Thank you man for sharing this knowledge. It's the most enlightening video about delta robot I've seen so far.
I am interested! Will stick around for the continuation of the series!
I used smoothieware running on an Azteeg X5 board to operate my delta prototype. Works great.
Excellent video full of precious info for delta printer enthusiast. Thank you!
I want to build one of these so bad! This must be the best 3D printing design!
Very excited if you’re still going to make more videos!
Awesome. Will try to make one :) Looks cool too! I love deltas. They are so much easier to work with.
Excellent! Looking foward to more
Came for an interesting delta design I've never seen before. Left with dang history lesson. Lol. Well done.
I really like your translation of "dancing with tambourine " idiom :)
Good luck як то кажуть! Дуже чекаю на наступну частину
Very interesting and informative video, thank you very much and keep up the great work
Awesome work! I think I just found my next build.
I'm using SKR pro 1.1 High computing power and no integrated stepper controllers. Went for SPI mode controllers TMC5160 that are also SILENT. It means the stepper motor noise is in the ultrasound range totally inaudible to human ears
Awesome apparently TMC stepper drivers are way more silent
Fabulous work, awestruck by imagination and work involved in these projects . smoothieware .not too sure about it ( my lack of knowledge not the app ) anyway enjoyed the vid
wow, great video! i like it.
Great job.Project is very interesting. It looks like printing is not so fast, and there is no advantage over the classic printer. We usually use deltas for pickup in the sorting process in production, where large positioning accuracy is not needed. It must be understood that the weak side of delta-robot is poor accuracy with linear movement. Good luck!

How poor accuracy?
@vizionthing

@@mookfaru835 long thin arms are bendy, placing the amplification of movement in any lever system cannot be better than the slop in the best bearings, this slop will be amplified and give poor accuracy.
Please do the follow up videos on this!
Interesting Insight.
Thank you Comrade
Klipper can also handel rotary delta printer
that milidelta looked very cool
7:57 that might just be your machine, i have a cr10 max and its pretty quiet with the only real sound being the motors but those can be fixed with better drivers.
I'd love to build one of these since it doesn't require linear guides. What is the current state of the project?
~subscribed~ Design Prototype Test channel would be interested in your series as well I'm sure!

Just watch because of Design Prototype Test
Hi, does this design solve the issue of lower resolution further from the center found commonly in kossel style printers?
The advantages are compelling, I wish they were available to buy...
Thank you
Is there any posibility to download full model STP?
Very interesting work! Any updates since your last video?

the author's original channel is Russian he has a video about the complete assembly and setup. On the original channel, the continuation was posted a long time ago.

@@user-ox9cp7tn1m Where please...
Thks & I would like to build me a DIY Delta then. ????Which current DIY Delta Kit to you recommend??
Did you revamp this one to a newer design and use klipper?
Is this project dead?
How does it compare to core-XY?
amazing! what is the name firmware?
Thanks for the video and info. It seems like a delta column printer is simpler and easier, I don't see the downsides you speak about.

I've got to agree. Linear rails are expensive, but that's the only downside I can think of. Linear deltas are much more supported by mainstream firmwares. But this design is more novel, so that's pretty cool.
can I use normal MARLIN firmware? and to increase the height of the Z axis, I just have to increase the length of the 3 arms?
@user-ox9cp7tn1m

In marlin, there is no work with lever mechanisms.
Is this project still alive ? Is there a mentioned 3'rd version already available?
So cool! Anything going on here in 2023? Thanks :)
Hey bro now i want to build one but how I made that. Can U give make full instructed video about firmware setup and gime me the STL file?

Oh, what a feeling, When your printing on the ceiling...
look for "m&m sorter #3
I think non planar printing would be a lot easyer with this type of kinematics
Did you ever continue this project?

Did I miss the memo or am I having a stroke? Was the snapping to maybe prove your recording it in real time?
@meateaw

To prove there was audio enabled, and give you an idea of the level of noise (or lack there-of). It is very hard to record the and prove noise doesn't exist!
@buildthis2324

@@meateaw For sure. Maybe get a cheap decibel meter sometime in the future. Most mobile devices can download an app to get a very general decibel reading too.
Looks impressive, I don't doubt the amount of time and effort it took to get this running, but the whole idea is flawed, the second you put a lever in a system to increase rotation travel you add a pile of flex, I'd bet you have already seen this, as for print quality - you should have mentioned how much you needed to slow it down to remove the ringing, alas I think you have achieved a perfect piece of kinetic art, but not much more.

@7:43 Holy sh*t, that printer is very noisy.. not a good example imho
