Owning a 3D printer myself this is very impressive and although the print is rough looking the fact it came off a printer made of legos is ridiculously cool. Kudos.

That is insane, even with the print results being a bit rough. I’ve been printing for a while and even own a small printing service on the side and I’ve tried making a printer from scratch and failed badly. I really respect this build since I’m sure it wasn’t easy. Printing a “benchy the tugboat” on a lego 3D printer is just insane and I definitely think this video should get more credit cuz this is crazy! Nice job

Amazing how Lego has got so advanced now! All down to the invention of electronic Programming systems and advanced Lego parts. Shame that there was metal parts needed to make this a true 3D printer Model. But I sure this will not be so for long as the parts advance in Lego systems? I do think 3D printing if done really well has a real world place in making parts for the future! I see most if not all families owning a 3D printer in the near future as cost drop more! It be a nice back up for item making that be helpful if you can't get a small part you need.
