3D Printed Wigglegram Lens Build (pt1)

Ғылым және технология

Based on a unique film camera design, I designed a lens that projects three separate images onto my camera's sensor. By editing and animating between those pictures you get some 3D motion in a scene that looks frozen in time. I'll share the pictures I was able to take with this lens in pt 2 ✌

Cool, thank you for sharing! I printed the parts and mounted the lenses. But the photos come out out of focus. I noticed that now the kodak powerflash lenses are composed of two parts. Is it possible that I have to put both of them on? thank you again for this magic :D

Thank you so much for posting an amazing video. It's amazing. How did you connect and attach the 3 lenses? Did you melt the plastic with your pharynx? Or did you use instant glue?

I cut them by holding a lighter on an X-acto blade, that way they were less likely to crack! Then I think the tolerances were tight enough that the lenses just press fit in 👌

Dude this is amazing !! How did you determine the distance between the lenses?

Between the lenses was really just restricted by the sensor size! I divided the sensor in thirds and put each lens in front of its own portion. Distance from the lenses to the sensor was some estimation and looking up the "Flange Focal Distance" for the a6300 👌

I held a lighter under an X-acto blade, and then cut them with the heated blade!
