    Pla doesnt become brittle from drying out it becomes brittle when it absorbs moisture or is exposed to long periods of UV. ABS would withstand the elements a tad better but still absorbs moisture which would eventually cause some warping.

    Hi, nice models. We would be interested into this wing but are wondering how fast it can be. it seems to be pretty fast, therefore you need a lot of space to fly it, am I right ? Because we don't have such big fields around here. What is the price of your files and when to you expect to make this one available ?

  • @Skyglide

    @Skyglide

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hello Bernard, thank you very much! The speed range is from 35 to 130 km/h on the setup as per the video. I am still thinking about the price of STLs, I am not going to earn here, just cover some research and design costs and filament. Therefore I am planning to make it quite low. I think you can still fly line of sight on a football field.

    Please don't call the filament "spars." They act more like wire rigging (only good for tension, no compression or torsional rigidity) inside your mostly monocoque wing which is the main load bearing structure of your plane. It's a great design but you're using wrong terminology.
