3D Printed Opposed Piston Engine - How powerful is it?

Ғылым және технология

In my last video, I designed a 3D printed Opposed Piston Engine. I wasn't too sure what to do with this (or any of my other engines), so I asked for some help in the comments.
One of you suggested trying to lift something, so I tried to lift a banana.

It'd be interesting to see what the engine can do w/o the limitations of the bottle and ball valve. Think it'd help to have that higher pressure/more consistent pressure. Maybe then it can lift a banana

Really nice engine and engineering man. Just a little tip: How is the valve timing exactly? Does it open when the pistons are at the nearest point or will it work better if the valve opens like 5 degrees sooner as they are on the way to each other. And maybe it will work better if the valve opens electronically with a coil so the mechanical resistance is lower and the hole valve is better sealed😁. Have a nice.... Build😌

I think the next thing to do is just to have a dual piston engine, but with pistons that are offset so instead of only 180 degrees of the 360 degree rotation is powered, you have 360 degrees of power. So dual pistons, offset by 180 degrees. This will also make it run smoother and maybe then it can maaaybe lift the banana? Cause with smoother power delivery, it wont be as easy to stall cause there isnt as much time that the flywheel is all thats keeping it spinning.

  • @kurzey8532
