quick question newbie here: 0:50 instead of auto-trace if you have the svg file of it can you just import? if so, how can i import this into after effects instead of using auto-trace?

Can't say for sure, since element 3d needs masks in order to create a shape layer

@@SmertimbaGraphics i have figure it out.. 1st create any shape in illustrator and copy (ctrl+c) 2nd go to after effects, create a new solid any color, then paste it (ctrl+v)

I've added the project file to description
How can I do this with my art from procreate? When I import it doesn’t work for some reason as a png. Do I need to turn off certain layers or something in procreate

You need masks to add a shape into element 3d and then edit how you like
