The year I bought my first compound bow, I shot in the neighborhood of 10,000 arrows before having the confidence that I could kill any deer out to 20 yards with a single heart/lung shot from ground or tree stand. Incidentally, that meant consistent 5 shot groups in a 3 inch circle, with a broadhead, and psyching myself with every shot that my target was a live deer out in the woods. When it actually happened that autumn, I kept my nerves in check and shot a forkhorn buck from the tree stand at 12 yards. He ran maybe 40 yards and piled up. No, you can never practice too much.

I am just glad that the weather is warming up for me cause now i can start practicing at the longer ranges. 20-40 is pretty consistent for me but 50+ yards I start to struggle

Yeah I just had a cable slide put on and I can tell that it threw everything off so that’s what I will be fixing today!

Luckily I was able to go go get my bow tuned up today so now I am feeling pretty confident!!

Is your peep hole perfectly encompassing your sight ring without any daylight in between? If not, then you'll get variations in aiming when the sight ring drifts off-center of your peep hole.

So as I watching watching the footage back, the arrow flight is terrible. I added a cable slide so I think it messed with some stuff so I have to go tune my bow this week
