Hello SPN. I carried a Glock 19 every day for about 6 years. I started having cervical spine issues and the weight of the fully loaded Glock 19 was causing pain in my neck because it was pulling on my right side suspender. I needed to change to a smaller and lighter gun, and because I also have wrist and hand nerve issues I knew I wouldn't be able to fire a sub compact 9mm so I bought a Sig P365-380. For me that Sig was a good decision, it has performed flawlessly so far. I carry it with the 12 round mag and I can shoot it accurately and painlessly. I almost bought a Glock 42 but the Sig has better capacity, also the sales rep at the gun store told me the Sig has slightly less felt recoil than the Glock 42. You've got a damn nice collection of handguns! Thanks for the videos...Keep 'em coming!

Right, the Sig Sauer P365 380 are a great option. I would bet the recoil is much less than the 9mm. Well, a 9mm is no good to you if you can not controll it. We are responsible for every round out of our guns. So what ever it takes to be accurate, -We must do it for ourselves & others.Take care, God bless.

You should see a Rheumatologist if you have that much pain in your hands. You should do it while you're young. It's best to get treatment as soon as possible to prevent damage. It won't hurt to get tested. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and am considering getting a 380 for the same reasons as you.

As far as I know, there is nothing else in the LCP Max's class, size, weight, round count, real sights. I feel quite well defended with either 11 or 13 rounds of Underwood +p ammo. If you read Greg Ellerfritz's research on different caliber stops, the 380 does very well. Also, the Tactical Professor, Claude Werner, makes a very good case for small caliber defense. Civilian use is to stop the threat and break contact, unlike law enforcement who have the apprehension component. The Lucky Gunner had a very good interview with Claude a few years ago, if you go back to hos small caliber defense videos. Very interesting stuff, good food for thought. And most people, me included, are way more likely to be carrying if it's easy to do. Thanks for reading this, enjoy your videos very much.

Got me a lcp max the other day. It's a handful and I'm only accurate at less than 15 feet. But it allows me to carry when a larger piece is impractical... I'm not sure I would trust the durability with plus p. I've never heard of .380 plus p. It seems to be the new kid on the block.

Have you genuinely shot a 9mm as small as the 380 bodyguard as an example for comparison? I've never shot a 9mm that small that was good to shoot. Even 380 that small is becoming a problem to enjoy. You need to be shooting actively with your carry gun not just carrying it so a pistol you are willing to both take to the range and carry is always the best for you. Carrying 9mm just because you can find something in the same size that fits your every day need isn't really a no cost trade off, thats why 380 pocket guns are more popular than 9mm pocket guns even though 9mm is a more popular caliber in general use@@GunsNGames248

Wit the hand things, grip is a little small. Looking at security 9 or .380 EZ. The bit bigger grip actually is more comfortable. Crazy thing is, my M9 has become the most comfortable hand gun I own. @@stevewodell6183 There is proof that in almost all situations a 22LR will NOT bounce around like a pinball as in the “stories”. However a well placed .22LR round (like Punch), performs better than most people understand. I will not get into caliber wars; but I will state that shot placement matters far more than caliber (when it comes to handguns).

Like you I have had hand issues so it is hard to grip. I did put in a 25LB spring vs. the 70LB it comes with that helps. Trigger pull is a bit hard too.

Have had only good luck with a Gen 1 and the Gen 3's (what you have) are supposed to be the most improved and reliable version of a firearm that was already reliable. They're probably the most ugly of all the guns you own (for most people)... but like you were saying, they really do shoot well... and they're so thin and easy to conceal.

Civil defense 50gr has 250 fpe energy (1500fps), underwood 90gr hallow points, 288 energy (1200fps). It is all about bullet performance. Put one or 2 in the chest of these, and its bye bye good luck. Also due to their light weight, its even less recoil. civil defense 50gr, even have one model called light, brass etc is made lighter, reducing recoil even further. That is why to me 7-8 plus 1 is plenty, as 99% of defense cases is 2-3 shots. 357 sig, is one and done with hollow points even on a crack head, as it has like 650 energy, and goes 2300 fps.

You're one of the few dudes I've seen who has a 45gap pistol, so why haven't you tried the 30 super carry yet in the S&W Shield Plus? It's 16+1 of 30sc in the same size gun as the 13+1 Shield Plus 9mm. 30sc HST ammo has 21 ft/lbs more energy than the 147gr 9mm HST, and it penetrates just as deep as 9mm HST, including the +p HST. A youtube video shows the 30sc HST being gel tested against HST's in 9mm+p, 40, 357sig, and 45, and the 30sc penetrated further than any of them. The expansion difference between 30sc and 9mm is less than the expansion difference between 9mm and 40/45, and 30sc HST is priced the same as 9mm HST, but less expensive than HST's in 380, 40, 45, 357sig, and 10mm. Basically, 30sc blows away the 380acp in ballistics, so the only advantage the 380 would have is in the smaller guns like an LCP, which are generally not fun to shoot for most people. I was able to put 19rds of 30sc into my glock 19 magazine, so a Hellcat Pro 30sc should easily be a 21+1 gun. Best of all, for those with hand issues or pain, the 30sc Shield Plus is softer recoiling than the 9mm Shield Plus.
