Love your videos as always! But today I had a special person watching it with me. My Christian mom, who is almost 88. When I told her I was off to watch one of your videos she asked if we could watch it together. So we did and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She was very impressed by how well read and spoke you are. It was really fun to be able to share part of my spiritual world with her. Thank you for helping make that possible!

I'm years past being a beginner but I still love reading beginner books because you can usually learn something new in all of them

As a beginner with Tarot, I also like Kitchen Table Tarot a lot. It’s not very deep but she takes you with her and gives a very good start. Especially while she tells about the cards in groups.

I am so grateful for that video, I am very new to witchcraft and was really sceptic towards all the books aesthetically appealing that seemed to pop everywhere. I am young so I don't have lots of money, but I'm looking forward buying some of the books you presented - especially Weave the Liminal and Circle Round. Thank you so much !

Great resources Jess. I have yet to pick up Circle Round but I am sure I would benefit from it with two little ones. I'm currently reading one of Ann Moura's older books The Green Witchcraft and I really appreciate her accounts of her own experience mixed in amidst both Wiccan and folk witchcraft perspectives. It's really refreshing to see that though it was published in the 90s she makes a clear distinction between what is Wiccan and what is older and that she states that there are aspects she draws from Wicca, she makes it clear that she is not Wiccan herself. I'm enjoying her writing a lot and I had previously never read her books so I may pick up the Grimoire at a later date also. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed Full Moon lunar eclipse 🌕 Xxx

I am a baby witch (just started in ernest 1/1) and this was soooooo helpful! Thank you! I actually ordered Grimoire for the Green Witch while you were talking about it. One thorough, practical reference book to have on my shelf will be so handy. Loved your video, can't wait to watch more!

Thank you! Was looking for an all rounder, so to speak Tarot book and it's the first time I've seen anyone comment on Tarot 101, sounds great for this purpose. Might pick it up (I don't usually like Tarot books in general, they are boring to me, specially the ones with just meanings of the cards/keywords) 🙏🏻 I only have 3 books (and one came with a deck) as many of us that start with tarot are concerned about keywords, so I picked the ultimate guide to tarot by brigitt E, which has just that, meanings. Have rarely touched it. And then I recently picked up TWTTTE by Dusty White, which is cool just because of the mere fact that he encourages you to create your own meanings. So there's that, if anyone is ever interested ☺️ Many thanks again, Raquel Ps just subbed♥️ your content is so great! You are underrated 👏🏻🤦🏻♥️🌠

Tarot 101 has the MBTI associations with the court cards?! SOLD! -ISTP 😜 I love Ann Moura's Green Witchcraft books. They are the books that were the catalyst for me starting to refer to my path as "Green Witchcraft". Her Grimoire was my main "Book of Shadows" reference book for several years. That said, my only main critique (as far as MY practice goes) is that it's a bit too ritualistic for my tastes, but still an excellent guide that I look back to frequently.

Loved this video and I am subbing. Looking forward to checking out some of your other videos with more advanced book recommendations

do you know of any tarot books that touch upon the reversed meaning of cards?

  • @TheStitchinWitch

Most tarot books will cover reversals. I think the most comprehensive books I'd recommend are Tarot 101 by Kim Huggens and 78 Degrees of Wisdom. Those two books are my favorite go-to's for your basic learning-tarot knowledge, and will definitely cover reversals, as well as what we readers call the "shadow side" of tarot cards, so essentially the negative sides or aspects of a card. Hope that helps!
