@@07wrxtr1 yeah but if you lock the door with the physical key the alarm gets armed. Otherwise it’s not armed if you lock it from the inside.

I don’t think so, but removing the glass isn’t hard in the slightest. I’d say it’s probably one of the easiest parts of this job.

You might have seen in the video that I mention the foam fix, but I don’t understand how those guys did it. In order to spray foam in the area that rattles, you’d have to be one step away from completely disassembling it as I did in this video. It seems like so much effort when you could do one more step to completely fix the issue.

Is there any other way to fix it without removing the piece ?

Every other way to fix it would involve preventing that piece from moving, so you could spray grease or lubricant in that white plastic part, but you’d still have to do all the work to access it.

Did removing that piece have any effect after a while of it being removed ? Window motor life or wind noise ? Or does it just slow the sealing of the window down when you close the door Great video though

There was absolutely no change in the life of the motor or the speed of the window dropping down

Even if it’s not flush, it’s easy to fix. Do what I did and line up the tape and you will have zero issues.

I went to roll my window down to get the bolts and now my window won’t go back up at all I unplugged and re plugged in everything and it won’t go up passenger window works j fine by driver window can’t roll up any ideas?

@@ThatRedNismo Makes sense, I will prob just do it anyways for peace of mind. Have you ever had a rattle that sounds like its coming from behind the odometers on the drivers side? its not always there and i cant figure out what causes it but heard it recently. Also I have a constant like dog whistle coming from under the passenger side dash that comes on and off I am assuming its the ECU but not sure. Have you experienced these two before?

I have not. I have an electronic ringing noise/high pitched noise from the trunk that I’m trying to track down next.
