I have PTSD and when I'm having a particularly bad time, my cats will always be _extra_ affectionate and stay very close by until I feel better - even if it takes a couple days.

some animals can smell or notice the energy change && immediately know something is wrong, like for service dogs they have a strong sense of smell so they can smell the change in their human for whatever condition they have, i think for cats, this is unrelated a bit but cats are considered spiritual beings, in ancient Egypt they worshiped cats, so i think cats have that extra sense to tell the vibe changes, everyone gives off a vibe frequency, hence them being spiritual beings i believe they can feel it, although none of my cats comfort me when im crying, ik they love me bc one i feed them && two they use me as a bed 🤣

Years ago, my cat saved me, and my other, by waking me up. My had a gas leak, when a line broke off. She jumped on me, howled, and bit me. I miss her

Back in the day(1980) our dog Einstein stopped burglars breaking into our house when we had to leave (after we forgot our child care classes) by barking when the burglars tried to break into our home. The insurance company rewarded us with a case of dog food. Way to go Einstein XX

Years ago, my cat saved me, and my other, by waking me up.

The first rat is actually part of APOPO's Hero Rats, a great initiative that got international recognition, and those rats are trained for sniffing out mines, TBC and now they expanded even if sniffing out illegal animal parts like pangolin scales to stop the illegal animal trade. Check it out, it's pretty amazing. The rats are giant african pouched rats.

Funnily enough, quite a few people have that reaction, but rats are really amazing, and giant african pouched rats even more so. But I get it, we don't choose what we find... disgusting? For lack of a better word. Happy that I could tell you about them :)@@RobinMarconeCassidyRN

Animals just know things. I don't know how. But I can say that my cats saved me. I have bipolar disorder and through the episodes I've had since I got them, they are by my side, doing what they can to keep me calm. I have in the past had an affinity towards self harm. My cats have kept me free of those tendencies for 10 years.

What hospital allows a pet into the premises? I think that's amazing.

I've never seen a hospital let them stay like that but they use them in therapy, and I saw a few months ago they are letting them use miniature horses as therapy and service animals.

Wow...I didn't realize that President Biden had signed the Paws Act for Veterans. My family is full of Veterans so this is a much appreciated act. Thank you to all representatives, senators, advocates, and President Biden for that gift to so many!

I taught my grandmas two dogs, Stella and Harry how to hug! Stella is a blood hound so I just lean towards her and she gives me a hug, Harry is a bulldog so he’s short so I have to get on my knees to actually give him his hug ❤😂

All of these animals should get lots of treats 🙂, like Cooper the dog, he's a good boy 🙂

Three years ago I had stepped on broken glass in my backyard and idk how it happened but my dog knew my brother was showering so he didn’t hear me asking for help . My best friend was with me as well. My dog ran to the bathroom where my brother was and started barking and scratching the door but he didn’t hear. Luckily my best friend got my mom so they went to the fire department my brother came outside and saw my standing there losing one gallon of blood. My dog was scratching the drying door basically telling my brother that there was a towel in there so they could wrap my foot. The day after my dog saw my foot wrapped up and layer on me

I had a 7 lb. cat who twice woke me up from men crawling thru my first floor apartment windows. I woke up and confronted them and they fled. I never again lived in a first floor apartment without a German Shepherd dog companion.

Pit bulls are illegal in the UK. I have several friends in the US who have pit bulls and they are beautiful dogs.

When my dogs think someone in the family is in danger or being hurt, they’ll immediately put themselves between people to protect them. They don’t bite, just put themselves between them and whoever they think is hurting them. For example, my dad and my youngest brother were playing and my brother likes to shout when he’s having fun, and my dogs will run to protect him. Or when I visited my family, I was being an idiot balancing on a chair that has wheels, and it rolled back and I got stuck, I was laughing about it and saying help because I would have fallen on the floor. Again, I was playing, trying to make my brothers laugh, but my dogs thought I was actually in danger and began to bark at my brother, looking at me then him to me as if to say help him. When we were kids, my brother thought he heard my mum talking in the back garden, and then got upset when he couldn’t find her, so my old dog ran into my room and woke me up (my door was open bc my brother and I shared a room) crying and licking my face until I woke up, then cried until I followed him downstairs where he lead me to my little brother who was also crying. My old dog was also taught not to play with our teddy bears when we were kids because he might break them, so my mum would always say no, baby, and that meant to be careful around babies and baby’s toys. At one point she and my old dog were on a walk and he saw a lady he recognised, someone who always played with him and he hadn’t seen her in a while. He got excited and ran over, but my mum noticed the lady was very pregnant and she was worried he might jump up for a hug and so she shouted “no!baby!” And he immediately stopped and laid down, and was then very gentle. I have many stories of my pets through the years helping us. We don’t deserve dogs at all.

I cant believe an intruder was dumb enough to attack a PREGNANT woman while her dog was near. My dog was nervous about people walking by me when I was pregnant, let alone attack me. A dog will absolutely destroy you, but it seems kind of obvious (rules of nature). What a dummy.

Please support a shelter dog! So many of them make wonderful, loyal pets that are so appreciative for getting a good home. I know most people want a pure bred and by from breeders but shelter dogs can also be pure at heart.
