After all these years I ran across these videos again, and I find your voice is still uplifting and friendly and for me very comforting, might sound weird I know, but your voice and clear instructions and all of your videos taught me how to crochet. Now this granny square was impossible for me back then and I got super frustrated. So I said what the heck I'm so much better than I was back then. And guess what? Nailed it! Thank you for everything all these years. You rock little lady!

This is one of the best patterns you did. It's the first dragonfly crochet square I've ever seen. I like dragonflies and I'm happy that you thought about them :)

Hi Nadia, I have been wanting to use my scrap yarn to make squares but have been bored with the few multi square projects I have made. Because of this I am so happy to find your project with so many different squares. I have made about six different squares so far and plan on making more. I'm doing them in sets of four with different colors. Thank you so much for these videos which for me is so much better then written instructions!! And thank your father for the fine camera work. 😊

Just FYI, sewing in ends as shown will result in them popping out during handling/washing. Best way to weave in tails: 1. DO NOT tie a knot! 2. DO NOT crochet over beginning tails! 3. Weave each tail separately going in one direction, reversing in the other direction then going back in the first direction. Make sure to pierce some of the yarn strands as you weave through This will require tails to be a bit longer, and takes a few seconds more, but you will have a project where your tails will never pop out, EVER. 😁 I've learned to NEVER take shortcuts; they always result in needing to spend time redoing/fixing the shortcuts. Save time by taking time in the beginning

Had to slow down the flow of the video and rewind a few times, but it came out perfect. I used a teal silk/bamboo blend for the body and square and a glistening white for wings and last two rounds (personal preference). It is beautiful! Fantastic, very different pattern. Such creativity!

Having worked through from the beginning I am aware why you chuckle when you say "chain 2". I have to laugh to myself when you say "just like that". In England we had a comedian/magician who had that as his punchline. He wore a fez and all his tricks went wrong! Glad your work turns out right ;-)

I love your videos , they are easy to follow and your dad does a great job and filming them. BUT, I don't like how you sew in the ends here with the wings. I would never sew in the tails all the way through to the bottom. You should not have the tails showing as they are sewn in or sewing something down. Instead, I sew right under the wings catching the blue square and try to leave a small "space" or opening at the wing to tie off in a knot. Makes for a cleaner look. Just a suggestion! I went through all 365 granny squares and so far this one is my favorite. I Thank you and your dad for making the videos. I really enjoy them.

I've gotten as far as the 2nd popcorn stitch on top of the 1st popcorn stitch (right after joining the first round). I've done it 4 times now, with 4 different types of yarn. My 1st one always come out split down the middle and no longer looks like a popcorn stitch. What the heck am I doing wrong?
