Heat the stud cherry red, have a squirt bottle of cold water ready, douse the broken stud until cold, it will shrink. If unable to get it moving, then place a washer and a nut over it, weld the nut to the stud until full, cool and then turn out stud with the wrench on the Nut, it works .

Hey Jessie, Nice to see you've got a good set of heads for your Hemi. Glad you don't have to struggle with that broken stud. Hope that makes a difference. Thanks for the update and we'll see you next time.

I have a 354 Fire Power hemi in my '56 Imperial Southampton Crown Royal. Yes it is sweet engine. Purrs like a kitten a but runs like a hemi. This old car can run all day at 75mph and have a lot more to spare. Good find for you. Also you don't really need to go to the larger valves unless your racing the thing. And where I live you need the cross over if you want to run the engine in the cold.

These heads are going on my hot rod since this video I haven’t done much because I’ve been involved with so much other stuff with the car but the new intake won’t have a heat cross over anyway and the cars only going to be driven in warm weather also the engine is going to be modified quite a bit from stock as far as the valves I was thinking maybe stock 392 valves not sure yet but definitely new guides and seats thanks for watching

I wouldn't eliminate the cross-over unless you are racing. You will have bad drivability until you have been driving for quite a while.

I actually am not going to need to because the intake already has it blocked these big engines warm up quickly and it’s pretty much only going to be driven in warm weather I haven’t had a problem with it in the past

I would argue, that the `55 331 head is as good. Called a triple nickel head.

Basically all the early Chryslers were made with a high nickel content wether there stamped or not but the 354 head was the most desirable because it could also be adapted to the 392 but really all the Chrysler hemi heads flowed really good and were stronger than anything else at the time so much so that they were used in top fuel into the 70s

I’ve been offered a 52 331 out of a Saratoga for a good price. Would the heads be the same as the 55?

No, but the 54 heads will work. 54 heads have the big ports just like the 55, but do not have that water cross-over in front.

54 intake is kind of hard to find though.

The real downfall of these is the exhaust heat riser . Check the center exhaust runners and see if they connect to that heat riser .
