On the 400 my grandpa made a little piece to sit in it. He drilled a small hole in it, but I can't remember if he welded or jb welded it in

Yeah that’s what a lot of people did back in the day and even now because you’re limited on the 400/351m since they wanted to cast it in the block instead of a removable plate like the cleveland. Not one of fords better ideas on that part but still great engines. Thanks for watching.
