350 Banshee and 330R

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Nothing special. Just slapped that motor in the R. Messing around in some nearby trails to see how it ran. Banshee was lean so the power was pretty flat. Intake, and exhaust configuration has since changed and jetted for such changes. Should have some more video over the summer at some new tracks and trails.

So that banshee has more power n faster? But the R handles the track better and not as fast n powerful? Thinking of buying 1 or the other. I do a lot of trail riding.

Ricky Jennings That particular banshee engine was stock other than exhaust and didn’t have as much power as the big bore 330 motor. The 250R is definitely the better trail quad. Lighter and plenty of power and room to modify for more. Can’t go wrong with either though in my opinion.

Super late reply but the tree looks closer in the vid than it was. That section crosses back and fourth over a wash out and I just hit it at the wrong angle out of that turn, pushed my line into the brush. The banshee handling is poor as most know and that's the main cause lol.

does it run slower when it's lean ? what do you mean the power was flat ?

  • @Trick2stroke

It depends, there is a saying saying "Leaner is meaner" but that applies when you're close to stoichiometric ratio but just slightly on the lean side of it. When you're too far lean on the needle or main the engine can rev clean and crisp but power can be unresponsive or "flat" not crisp and it will run hot. Think old lower performance 4 strokes, you give it gas and it accelerates but it's lazy acceleration.

Appreciate it, those trails are a good time. Video doesn't show it very well but there is a trench through that section that threw me off that lap lol. But you're right, even with all the mods done to the banshee it just doesn't handle like the R.

I seen it.. Thats actually what made me think that..Cause your friend hit that trench and corner like it was nothing but the Banshee was, well a Banshee.. Even with the shortcomings though I still love my Banshee because there is nothing else like it..
