ive learnt more about custom headlights from your channel than i ever imagined. Can you please do a step by step video on how you actually go about for example adding a switch back sequential C light , from the wiring , how you test them offthe car , to the programming of the Ghozt or corsomotion controller , like a from start to finish video

You should use a more controlled heat source. The LEDs have a certain temperature they can not exceed. Also needs to be hot enough to melt the solder and not the LEDs. Typically a Wave process is what is used.

This helped me out because I have a bunch of those the 7x4 with 2 led and then 7x2 but with 4 led per. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to solder them. The last 3 days ice spent about 5 hours just looking at them and 5 minutes soldering and it was wrong the way I started to solder them. Lol.

We tend to use a paste machine and a pick and place machine called the 'mirea' love your work and goes through a 10 stage re-flow oven if we have to paste by hand we tend to do it in one pass also if the paste is slightly harder than normal quick heat gun woft or add some flux liquid

Next video you’ll see a VERY different method, going hardcore manual mode 😅

Ive been looking at those Corsomotion 15" strips for a DRL/Running light/turn signal, controlled by Ghozt sequencers. There is no info about the strips on their website. Any idea if they are bright enough for a proper drl/turn signal (being the only source, not in conjunction with a oem light)? Would i need a booster for the Ghozt module? Wish they would update their info!

  • @flyryde

I don’t think you can buy stencils for most LED stripes, including these, however they are pretty common on widely used DIY kits in the PCB community (which I know nothing about lol). The strips you can just buy from Corsomotion already have all the hard work done to them so you get to focus on the fun stuff 👍

The more I watch your stuff, the more I realize it is way too complicated for me. Can't you show an easier way using just colour strip lights with the most basic wiring. Then identify the power module and resisters in order to get the colours as well as sequential operation for indicaters. This for a 400mm long tail light configuration for my old 986 Boxster. Maybe a stupid person like myself can then get the hang of it. PS Great work you clever youngsters are doing. Love you from Africa.
